A 'Flood Watch' is in effect until early tomorrow morning. 930am: No rain yet (10am huge downpour), but the radar map shows bright orange and red for late morning. It doesn't look good. {No violent storms; just a lot of water. Over two inches and I moved the old rain gauge to the planter on the from stoop. It should have been here all along}. ***At 6am I heard a lugger being delivered to the abandoned house next door. The driver must have ripped down a tree branch and it's still hanging from the tree over their driveway. Later a pickup & trailer in the driveway and front door propped open. Change is coming. Weekly Cleaning Watched 'STATE OF FEAR' (Netflix). I can't believe that I randomly selected this film. It is a spin off of the series that I'm watching, 'IN THE MUD' (Netflix). Based on a true incident: In May 2006 the PCC completely shut down the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil for several days. Over the course of the rebellion more than 300 attacks across the metropolitan area; banks, metro stations, police infrastructure. Shopping malls, office towers, schools, all shut down. 500 people were killed. The series is set in Argentina, but the movie is set in Sao Paulo, Brazil. A superior Police Procedural. A woman is found bound and tortured in a cargo container at the port of Barcelona. The case is given to a female detective who is just back from disability. Her brother committed suicide and she lost it. The tortured woman can't remember anything and we learn that she has the secret code to the workings of an international human trafficking gang. It's a very complicated tale of John le Carre level 'spy craft' in the city of Berlin involving various secret agencies including South Korea, North Korea, the CIA, MOSSAD, and a criminal Arab gang (?). A female translator for the North Koreans is compelled to sleep with a German diplomat to seal a deal favorable to the North Koreans. This is the final outrage and she decides to defect to the west, but her husband (who is a North Korean spy) is on the fence. A retired super-spy learns that his childhood martial arts teacher has been murdered and he reenters the spy craft world to find the killer. An assassination plot is uncovered and 'the twist' is that the teacher's sultry daughter hooks up with the spy and seems to have legitimate feelings for him. Alas, she's only spying on him for a corrupt United States senator. The fight scenes were a mix of Shotokan Karate, Hapkido, Taekwondo and barely believable; with Wesley Snipes and in AI Mode I learned that the actor, Wesley Snipes holds a 5th-degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and a black belt in Taekwondo.  Watched 'A FATHER'S MIRACLE' (Netflix).
