Weekly Cleaning Watched 'BANG BANG' (Hoopla- last pick of the month). A boxing film that is not about winning or overcoming great odds, but an unvarnished look at how myths about respect and manliness and a crooked promotional system does far more harm than good. Tim Blake Nelson creates a brilliantly twisted character (although Bang can walk, he occasionally carts around in a wheelchair) who is far more realistic & authentic than Rocky ever was.   What a strange ending..."The American Association of Ringside Physicians will tell you that the highest number of mortality rates are from fighters whose fathers are in their corner. This film is dedicated to the fighters who have suffered, both in and out of the ring."  The writer of the film, Will Janowitz plays the supervisor at the grands...

 Sa 9/26/26 805am (GB: 5/ Green Crack). 1255pm (GB: 5/ Red Congolese). 230pm (5-B: Green Crack). 535pm (GB: 5/ Green Crack). 825pm (GB: 5/ Red Congolese).  Up 715am: Another cloudy day with a slight chance of showers and temps just above 70. Watched 'THE DESCENT' (Kanopy). Just like 'ALICE IN CHAINS', we're 'Down In A Hole' and the ladies take on the zombies. 'Female Empowerment' and a thin storyline, but chock full of 'gotcha' moments. "71" Metascore and that's where I'd leave it. 'THE DESCENT 2' must be a real bomb. Weird Line: "How do you get a lemon to orgasm? You tickle its clitoris---err, citrus."  More 'FAUDA' (Netflix). I shut it down 17 minutes into the tenth episode. There are 12 episodes in season 2 and the series has 4 seasons. I'll space this out and watch all of it.   Fr 9/25/26- Tech2Door 1030am/ New TV 1255pm (GB: 3/ Green Crack). 430pm (GB: 4/ Red Congolese). 535pm (GB: 5/ Green Crack).  Up 715am: Another cloudy day with temps to about 70.  Watched 'DREW BINSKY ULTIMATE TRAVELER' (Netflix)- A visit to Syria. The city of Palmyra was a huge Roman city on the Silk Road dating to 2000 BC.  The ruins were much bigger and more stunning than those in Italy. 1030am- 1115am: We switched the PC's and determined that it was the TV. I ordered a TV from Walmart and it should be delivered by tonight at 10pm {it said 3 hrs when I placed the order}.  Chrisitian will return at 1pm on Monday to install the TV and rehook the PC. Watched the first episode of 'MURDER WITH MY HUSBAND' (Netflix)- A young woman from Kansas is murdered while working at a municipal pool. Watched 'I SWEAR' (Netflix). A difficult, yet skillfully presented film about Tourette's Syndrome. This could have been a farce, but it's an insightful look at what it would be like to have the condition and the film doesn't ignore or gloss over the reactions of 'normal' people. The Theme: How do you get the general population to recognize that the condition is real and that nobody is faking?  John Davidson lived in Galashiels, Scotland which is about 35 miles southeast of Edinburgh, Scotland.  Tu 9/22/26- Computer Problems {Tech2Door} 755am (GB: 5/ Green Crack). 1155am (3-B: Red Congolese). 550pm (4-B: Green Crack). 825pm (GB: 4/ Red Congolese).  Up 645am {listening to NPR from 6am}. Cloudy with temps to upper 60's. Watched 'ILL MANORS' (Hoopla). It's a film directed by an English Rap star (Ben Drew AKA 'Plan B') who conjures the most negative presentation of urban life possible. It features an almost absurd amount of drugs, prostitutes, violence, poverty, and random deaths. Highlight:  An infant is dropped from a second floor window to escape a fire. The baby is saved, but the 'dropper' must jump and he dies. The film's tone is so 'real' that the street vernacular wasn't even close to the actual dialogue and the subtitles lagged behind by about ten seconds. This made them completely useless.
