The film has a literary feel with lots of engaging plot twists and it turns out that it wasn't murder/suicide at all. From a novel by Jane Harper; with Eric Bana. The movie is set in the fictional town of Kiewarra, Australia "which is depicted as a drought-stricken, rural sheep-farming community roughly five hours from Melbourne". Yesterday I noticed a dead rabbit out back near the large flower bed and included it in today's 'big blue can'.  Watched 'ROCKETMAN' (Hoopla). A bio of Elton 'Hercules' John...His Stage Name: One of the guys in an early band was called 'Elton', and he liked the name and he added 'John' because Lennon was his favorite Beatle.  Elton's parents are portrayed as completely unfeeling human beings. The inclusion of musical dance numbers make it almost seem like a Bollywood production and it works; with Taron Egerton and I just saw him in 'APEX' with Charlize Theron. I shut it down at 1 hr 37 minutes although it's not even halfway. A woman reads a list of Nazi atrocities against the Jews that occurred in Amsterdam during WWII. However, what you see in the documentary is the city squares and addresses as they look today {The film was shot during the protests during COVID}. What hits me is that the people of Amsterdam during WWII were no different than people today. The documentary is an elegant cautionary tale about a city (and nation) that celebrated an inhuman agenda with patriotic fervor. I'll continu...

Up 6am: Cloudy with temps to low 70's and a 20% chance for rain.  Watched 'APEX' (Netflix). At its best the movie is a somewhat exciting & weird mix of rock climbing and fast river kayaking. A young woman loses her boyfriend in a rock climbing accident, yet she continues to do extreme sports and meets up with a serial killer in the wilds of an Australian nature preserve. There's lots of CGI to beef up the implausible story. The first part of the movie happened in Norway and I found that out after watching and was checking out the film at IMDB. I scheduled it to happen at 924pm tonight. I hope this works and I hope the 'yellow ball & arrows' disappears on the PC (It did not disappear, but a note says that it will run after 9pm tonight).  If it works I will never sit through another Windows Update ever again. {It didn't work. I had to run the update when I booted up Monday morning}   Watched 'COP SHOP' (Netflix). Within seconds I realized I had seen this one within the last couple of months. The title refers to homemade crystal meth and the film is a lurid (sinks into unintentional satire) account of tweakers who act like caricatures of Appalachian hillbillies from the 1930's. It was like the whole production was straining to be transgressive. L'il Abner does bathtub meth instead of a jug of moonshine.  Filmed about 40 miles north of Houston, Texas in Cleveland and Dolen Texas. "44" Metascore and I would go to "74". From The  A.V. Watched 'LAMB' (Kanopy- borrowed yesterday). Super Strange. It's about a taciturn couple who raise sheep in very rural Iceland. They assist in the birth and then, love, and raise the baby lamb or 'human baby' lamb. The surprisingly enticing creature was born half sheep and half a human female. You don't know who impregnated the ewe, until 'The Ram' (that's half a human male) shoots dad (human) in the throat and mom (human) is desolate.  Beautifully shot in magnificent and very, very rural Iceland.
