The best thing that I've seen in ages. Oddball soundtrack with muted screams & disturbing clanging & groaning; a light tone but not really comic and definitely not a horror film. Weekly Cleaning Watched 'BANG BANG' (Hoopla- last pick of the month). A boxing film that is not about winning or overcoming great odds, but an unvarnished look at how myths about respect and manliness and a crooked promotional system does far more harm than good. Tim Blake Nelson creates a brilliantly twisted character (although Bang can walk, he occasionally carts around in a wheelchair) who is far more realistic & authentic than Rocky ever was.   What a strange ending..."The American Association of Ringside Physicians will tell you that the highest number of mortality rates are from fighters whose fathers are in their corner. Watched 'THE DESCENT' (Kanopy). Just like 'ALICE IN CHAINS', we're 'Down In A Hole' and the ladies take on the zombies. 'Female Empowerment' and a thin storyline, but chock full of 'gotcha' moments. "71" Metascore and that's where I'd leave it. 'THE DESCENT 2' must be a real bomb. Weird Line: "How do you get a lemon to orgasm? You tickle its clitoris---err, citrus."  More 'FAUDA' (Netflix). The city of Palmyra was a huge Roman city on the Silk Road dating to 2000 BC.  The ruins were much bigger and more stunning than those in Italy. 1030am- 1115am: We switched the PC's and determined that it was the TV. I ordered a TV from Walmart and it should be delivered by tonight at 10pm {it said 3 hrs when I placed the order}.  Chrisitian will return at 1pm on Monday to install the TV and rehook the PC. Watched 'I SWEAR' (Netflix). A difficult, yet skillfully presented film about Tourette's Syndrome. This could have been a farce, but it's an insightful look at what it would be like to have the condition and the film doesn't ignore or gloss over the reactions of 'normal' people. The Theme: How do you get the general population to recognize that the condition is real and that nobody is faking?  John Davidson lived in Galashiels, Scotland which is about 35 miles southeast of Edinburgh, Scotland.
