Watched 'KOLN 75' (Hoopla). The film is based on an incident in the life of the record promoter, Vera Brandes. She booked Keith Jarrett to play at the Koln Opera House and this concert recording went on to become the best-selling recording of a piano performance ever. The big problem in the film is that the piano was not up to snuff. I wonder how much of this narrative is true? {According to Wikipedia the 'broken' piano that Jarrett used was historically correct} However, the movie is more about female empowerment in a patriarchal system than a film about a pivotal moment in the history of jazz.
