Based on a true incident: In May 2006 the PCC completely shut down the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil for several days. Over the course of the rebellion more than 300 attacks across the metropolitan area; banks, metro stations, police infrastructure. Shopping malls, office towers, schools, all shut down. 500 people were killed. The series is set in Argentina, but the movie is set in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It's a very complicated tale of John le Carre level 'spy craft' in the city of Berlin involving various secret agencies including South Korea, North Korea, the CIA, MOSSAD, and a criminal Arab gang (?). A female translator for the North Koreans is compelled to sleep with a German diplomat to seal a deal favorable to the North Koreans. This is the final outrage and she decides to defect to the west, but her husband (who is a North Korean spy) is on the fence.
