Mo 6/11/18

Up 6am; Scattered showers began late yesterday afternoon, but heavy thunderstorms late night and early morning; almost 2", flash flood warnings (got one on the phone about 2am- A Freak-Out!). Cloudy all day with lots of humidity and chance of more rain- to upper 80's.

'PEACOCK' (Amazon Prime) A most unusual film that Cillian Murphy does mostly in drag. Set in early sixties Peacock, Nebraska where a young man suffers from split identities. He is both his dead mother and her son, and a train derailment radically upsets his well ordered and rigid existence. When townspeople rescue him/her after the derailment, he's in drag and they assume that 'he' is his wife. And, Ellen Page as a struggling waif who is the mother of little boy; very strange, but compelling film.

Some kind of virus detected when I tried to read a review of 'Peacock'. Scary....I'm pretty sure that it's just a scam, but it certainly was convincing in that they claimed that they would immediately begin collecting my banking information.

I wrote the Chat Wrap and will do another scan with Malwarebytes- I just did one this morning.

11am- reading more of 'THE SILENT GIRLS', and biked to FitClub around 130pm. Threatening, but it never rained, and only felt like low 80's.

While working out I got a rather long email from Janny congratulating me on not attending the wake/party for Lachel later this summer. I still don't want to attend, but I don't know if I fully trust her real motivation. Alcoholic junkies vs. Evangelical Republicans....'Clowns on the left of me, jokers to the right.' 45" Octane (for some reason, I couldn't get an Internet connection, but phone said I was connected. Used the Xfinity Internet to listen to 'The Black Keys'; later I got FitClub WiFi...Why/ Not?) 45" Recumbent Bike (read 'The Silent Girls' and listened to ('Blues/Jazz from Montreux'). 45" Cross (THE WIRE). 30" Walk. 3.5/0 (THE WIRE). 30" Bike (PATRICK MELROSE). 30" Old Style Cross (end of 'Melrose' and the end of the interview with Diane Krueger). No Weights- just forgot.
Home to soak with three beers/ read/ and old Dylan.

A little more than an hour of Netflix disc, 'HOCKNEY' for tonight. A sixties gay artist that maybe Andy Warhol 'borrowed' his act and look?
