Sa 11/11/17 Vet's Day

Up 630am; Partly cloudy and breezy, 40's. Watched the last two episodes of BILLIONS on the disc.

At the stroke of nine am I got a call from Dick Van Dykes. The earliest appointment is on Wednesday (Book Club Day, of fucking course!). I'm down for the whole day, but they call early on the day of the appointment to give you 'a window'. 

A couple of hours later I noticed that the fridge was now running without problems. I called them back to find out if the tech could make some kind of diagnosis even if the fridge was working. She thought I was trying to dodge the fee, but finally she understood. Either the fucker works, or it's history!

Watched some YouTube videos of Putin and Russia (Russia Today). Then read for a couple of hours on the couch- THE POET.

145pm- Drove to Walgreen's and got a fifteen dollar shoe insert. Not exactly what I wanted, but I'm not sure that any of the claims can be trusted. See how it goes...Then, on to FitClub West.

30" Walk. 3.5/0 (No pain with the new inserts, but it still might be the cortisone shot). 45" Bike (upstairs). 45" Cross. 30" Octane (FAMILY STAND). No shower at FitClub, but came home and soaked and read in the tub for 45". The hot bath seems to really help with the leg cramps.

Australian Horror/Thriller, KILLING GROUND; mayhem and murder at a remote campsite.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
