Sunday Xmas Eve

Su 12/24/17

Up 615am; A light dusting of snow; most of it is on the streets and sidewalks- odd, but by early afternoon we probably got about two inches. Westview is still very slick, but the secondary streets are OK.  

Watched a Youtube film about Scientology (1 hr), then watched the last half hour of CLEAR HISTORY. 

945am; to Planet Fitness (they close at 2pm for Xmas Eve). 45" Walk. 3.5/0. 45" Recumbent Bike (THE ICE STORM- Rick Moody). 45" Cross. 30" Bike (read). 30" Cross. Today was the first time that I wore my winter coat and took the lock with me.

When I got home I did the weekly cleaning and called Elsie's House, but got no answer. Reading on the couch until 415pm,  then I shoveled the walk and drive. Absolutely nothing has melted and the temps haven't left the low 20's. Then, an hour soak and had two beers and read more of THE ICE STORM and listened to the soundtrack from THE SOPRANOS.

I'm going to begin with a 45" documentary about the Stones on Youtube. Who'm I kidding- I know far too much about the Rolling Stones than necessary, spent about twelve minutes and knew I was on ground already covered. Next, a new series on Netflix called DOPE, then another BOJACK HORSEMAN. Found DR. FUTURITY by PK Dick in the collection (an Ace edition which includes a copy of a John Brunner novel) and will check it out before sleep....Merry F-in' Xmas....

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}. Pk northside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 35 MINUTES; ORNETTE COLEMAN Playlist; began a J.R.E. with an English podcaster. 9am: Janny called and they will be here after their appointment with Dax at 10am.   Watched more of 'HIGH TIDES' (Netflix)- The Belgian soap opera of 'all the beautiful people'. 1045am- 1235pm: She met one of her students who was a girl who is now a man. We exchanged books & Joe recommended an 'oiler' that fits under the belt of a treadmill. Melissa is now '2nd in command' at the Illinois Parole Board...
