Up 6am; watching COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE (Kristen Wiig) on the phone very early. We got about 2" of snow last night. Nothing on the streets, but it stuck to all the trees- looks beautiful, and I got some pictures this morning. Cloudy and calm, to low 40's.

'TRIPLE 9' (Amazon Prime) 815am. Storyline is somewhere between complex and incomprehensible- crooked cops, Russian mafia, Israeli connection, yet an action-packed cop thriller nonetheless. Any film with Casey Afleck and Woody Harrelson is always worth a look (are there anymore?); set in Atlanta, GA.

Watched another CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM; Cheryl leaves Larry because he was more concerned about the TIVO guy than her 'last dying wish' on an airplane; "We're taking Cheryl's side".

Back to the tub to finish the Donna Dartt novel and listen to LUNA PARK.
'LOCKED UP' (Netflix) The very worst update of the 'Women Behind Bars' genre; needless cruelty,  pointless nudity,  and general meanness. I won't be finishing this one, and the only reason to watch it is to wonder who in the fuck 'green-lighted' this one?

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
