Sa 4/14/18- Circuit Breaker Problems!!!

Up 545am; Went to bed by 930apm, read, and coughed most of the night. Phlegm running down the back of my throat, but I don't feel like I really have a cold- more like allergies. Cloudy and threatening, strong storms predicted for later and tonight- mid 60's.

Finished 'DETROIT' (745am). Even though the 'Trump Era' (Error?) is horrendous, I think that one of the most dangerous periods in American history occurred around 1965, right after the civil rights movement lost direction. When major cities burned and hundreds of terrorist bombings rocked the country, it certainly appeared that civil war was inevitable. I can still personally remember that time, and, as I was living it, I didn't see it that way at all- Maybe it was my young years.

130pm Wabash PO and LA Fitness. On the machines at 2pm. Walk 2.6/0 (Frank Zappa- Xfinity doc). 45" Recumbent Bike (DEADWOOD/ listened to, 'DAMN'- Lamar Kendric, didn't like it). 45" Cross (Zappa). 30" Recumbent Bike (FALLET, last episode). 43" Cross (James Elroy's LA Crime; Amazon Prime). 

Went to the mall to find a cover for the phone; too expensive, walked around for 30". Nothing's changed.

Home to find that no power to the downstairs-North Side (computer- stereo- reading lamp, outside yard light, socket under the living room window, and the plug-in near the door. Can't get the circuit breaker to stay in the 'on' position. Left word at Ruby Electric. Watching videos and Youtube, and I know I've done all that I can do. 

Fuck!

In the living room did another BOSCH,  and one more CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM (Larry's therapist tells him to give Cheryl an ultimatum, and mayhem ensues).

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Th 10/2/25- WYNK

 Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
