Up 7am; couldn't sleep- reading phone and YOUNG JANE YOUNG off and on. Partly cloudy and mid- sixties.

Watched Netflix disc, 'CRASH PAD'; Married woman sleeps with a young slacker to make her high-powered lawyer husband jealous. Husband moves in with the slacker to make HER jealous. Funnier than it sounds...Brendan Gleeson's son, Domhnall Gleeson, in the lead role is really quite good.

11am; 'CAPTAIN BEEFHEART- UNDER REVIEW', (Amazon Prime). Watched about half and then back to reading YOUNG JANE YOUNG (1230PM).

Wabash PO and Planet Fitness later. I sat in the living room chair and finished 'YOUNG JANE YOUNG'; a sweet, endearing read- I wonder what the book club will think? 

215pm Put the barrel of straw for city pickup in a bag, and taped the bags shut with masking tape.
On the machines at Planet Fitness by 330pm. 45" Walk. 3.6/0 (HOMELAND). 45" Recumbent Bike (began THE GUARDIAN- Jeffery Konvitz). 45" Cross (HOMELAND/ GYPSY). 45" Bike (GYPSY/ EASY). 35" Cross (the last episode of Season 4 of EASTBOUND & DOWN; that's it for Kenny Powers- they took it for as far as it could go...gonna miss it. 

Home to soak, listen to P-FUNK ALLSTARS and read more of THE GUARDIAN.
When I got out of the tub I noticed that the front room lights, and the lawn light was out (and the north half of the downstairs area).  The problem with the breaker box is back!!!  
Called Speeks and got the old man. They'll call tomorrow and probably be over on Monday. He thinks it might be the switch- that's what I told his son when they first arrived on the scene several days ago.
Next episode of BOSCH upstairs, then one more CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. Read till 11pm.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
