Tu 5/29/18- Power Outage, early morning

I awoke a little after 2am to check the phone to see if the internet connection was viable; it was, and I downloaded material to watch later.

Then, I awoke around six am to glance at the clock and saw that the power was out, again! I called CWLP's emergency outage line and left word at a recording.

When I got out of bed at 730am the power had been restored.

Cloud, muggy, temps to upper 80's with a chance of storms this afternoon and later tonight.

Finished the last half hour of 'STEVIE D'; Clever gangster tale with a light touch; reminded me of something that Donald E. Westlake might have written.

Then, another 'I'M DYING UP HERE'; Melissa Leo is mind-blowing! Hilarious jokes, yet deadly serious.

Finally, finished the last hour and a half of the Lynyrd Skynyrd bio on Amazon Prime. In the overwhelming majority of cases, a band's music is far more interesting than observations and stories about the members of the the group, but this band had a fascinating  and absolutely engrossing narrative, and this film manages to capture it.

150pm bike to LA Fitness, and when I return home, it's over to Fairhills for the weekly shopping.

45" Walk. 3.7!!/0. (RAY DONOVAN). 45" Recumbent Bike ('Sirens In The Ditch' read, THE BOULEVARD). 45" Cross (THE WIRE). 30" Bike (THE WIRE). 30" Cross (WHITE PEOPLE PLEASE).

At the grocery store by 615pm; $57.00. Home to soak and read more of Jim Grimsley and listen to Led Zep; 3 beers and an hour and ten.

'ALISON' (Amazon Prime) In 1994 a woman in South Africa was abducted, almost decapitated, disemboweled,  raped, and left for dead.  She survived, identified and testified against her attackers, and went on to start a successful business based upon how her life changed after the ordeal- she became 'a life coach'; moderately corny, but luckily only 60".
