We 8/1/18

We 8/1/18

Up 745am; sunny and temps warming up to mid 80's.

Wrote up 'STRAIGHT LIFE' for the blog.

Watched 'UNDER THE SKIN' (Netflix). Scarlett Johansson plays several different possible things-

1) "A heartless humanoid temptress from outer space"

2) "An alien serial killer who sexes men to death in a misogynist fanboy wet dream"

And...

"There’s a guy in black motorcycle leather and a helmet who follows her around and is either her partner in whatever evil alien plot they’re involved in, or he’s her boss or controller or pimp. So she is either a nasty predator using sex as a weapon because she loves it, or a helpless victim who is being coerced"
What about the hideous naked freak?. He's last seen with the motorcycle guy.
More 'Art House' than 'SciFi', and also worthy of a look for the nice shots of Scotland, and the mean streets of Glasgow.

Then, tried to access Xfinity for another 'QUARRY', but couldn't get in. It might be that I have too many in the Que (several on the phone and one hanging on the PC downstairs). When I do the workout today I'm going to cut a couple hours off the ones on the phone, and see if that works. I read something about a 'streaming limit' on the 'Help Page' at Xfinity.

Watched one more 'JUSTIFIED' on Amazon Prime.

130pm biked to 'Y'. A brilliantly beautiful summer day. I wanted to go through as many videos as possible to see if this would solve the problem with Xfinity Stream. 45" Walk (RAY DONOVAN). 45" Recumbent Bike (RAY DONOVAN). 45" Cross (RAY DONOVAN- 2 today). 45" Bike (HOMELAND-1). 30" Cross (LOVE).
When I got home I drove to the County Market/ Fairhills. $56.
Soaked and listened to Lucinda Williams and finished 'STAY CLOSE'- Lee Child.

Another 'WRONG MAN' on the downstairs PC. Apparently I didn't watch the end of the furniture store mass murders, so I watched it from the middle and learned that the 'team' didn't get what they wanted. Their guy was deemed guilty, and it goes to the Mississippi supreme court. Twenty minutes of that, and then 'AMERICA DIVIDED'; part of an Xfinity series about political and social issues in the USA (1' 30"). Bad Water in Flint, MI/ Norman Lear on affordable housing in NYC/ 3,000 shootings in Chicago, and more than several are police executions.

PC's connection to Xfinity is just fine; looking forward to see what the situation will be with the upstairs PC tomorrow- maybe cutting the phone videos was the culprit.
