Up 6am; Below freezing early, sunny and to mid fifties later.
Copied 'THE CHEESE STANDS ALONE' and transferred to Dropbox.
Watched Netflix disc, 'THE STRANGE COLOR OF YOUR BODY'S TEARS'. A Parisian businessman returns to his lavish, Art Deco/ Moroccan apartment and finds that his wife is not there. Was she murdered? Did she leave him? Is he dreaming or insane? A fine example of a film where 'style' completely overwhelms 'substance'. It's a wild ride, but what really happened?
Sorted the laundry from last night, and emptied the cat box.
Then 'OUT OF THIN AIR' (Netflix). During the mid 70's in Iceland a group of teens are convicted of two murders. This documentary is a cautionary tale as to how a police department, even acting with the best of intentions, can force innocent people into making false admissions of guilt. Most people probably believe that an innocent person would never admit to a crime that they did not commit, but I think that this happens all the time- all over the world.
1230pm- The Weekly Cleaning; listened to a tape of The Mekons that I made for Chris many years ago- still sounds great.
130pm to FitClub West; dropped the disc on the box near Monroe. 45" Cannon (An excellent two record retrospect of David Bowie from Amazon Music). 45" Walk. 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. Legs/ Biceps/ Chest. 30" Old Style Cross (TV all workout).
Home to call Lannie. She said that he was napping and I should call later. He is going in for a procedure to remove more of his facial lesions tomorrow, so I said that I'd call tomorrow afternoon to see how it went. Then, soaked and listened to a Lachel Tape of the Dead at The Cow Palace from 1974, and I finished 'THE ROUND HOUSE'- another excellent choice by the book club.
Will begin a two hour bio-pic of Quincy Jones on Netflix.
