Up 815am; breezy and much cooler. Temps only to mid to upper sixties all day. Rain in the forecast for the next week with cooler temps- Fall has arrived?
I went downstairs to see the Update Situation and the PC turned on normally, but a message said that a longer 're-start' was required and this took about 30". It seems that '1809' successfully installed (the screen invited me to 'tour my new features', you know, the ones that I didn't ask for or have no reason to use)- 'Patch Tuesday' at its' worst.
Watched 'THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS' (Amazon Prime)- Glenn Close; Another variation on 'The UnDead Film Genre' only the shambling, vacant-eyed cannibals are called “hungries,” and their infection seems to be fungal rather than viral. In the beginning of the film 'young hungries' are in a military compound and you don't really know what's going on until quite a ways into the film. Worth a look.
In the middle of the film I began screwing around with the route to the long term parking on Tuesday. Near the end of the quest, this has to be the most crazy road pattern- loops, circles, re-loops, and almost a guaranteed 'Lost For Sure'.
Finished the film, then another 'PHILIP K. DICK'S ELECTRIC DREAMS'- "Human Is", starring Bryan Cranston. A space captain (Cranston) returns to home-base a changed man after an alien attack. Has he become an alien? Yes, but he's now such a dynamite lover that his wife is okey-dokey with it. Borderline Corny.
215pm in the Accord to the 'Y'. 45" Walk (All JERSEY SHORE/ HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA REUNION). 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 45" Bike. 30" Cross.
Home to soak/ STONE COLD/ 'Dead Inside'- Golden Palominos...." Anton Fier works with Goth poet Nicole Blackman and it's mostly 'spoken word' and more challenging than the rest of The Golden Palominos records-- it's just hard to get inside these detached and death-obsessed sounds.
An episode of Season Two 'ATYPICAL' for tonight. Halfway through the show...."Netflix is having problems"- try something else. Will see if a 'DARK TOURIST' will play. If not, on to Amazon Prime.
When I tested Google Speed and Xfinity Speed I was only in the '25 Range' and usually to '70'. I think the problem was that I was uploading 'ELECTRIC WARRIOR' to Google Play. However, I do this kind of thing all the time and my Netlfix is never interrupted, so are they 'throttling'? And, I'm still not sure what '1809' has brought....seems the same as Monday. To verify that it downloaded I checked my Windows 10 and learned that I am now a user (happy?) of '1809', and I also noticed some on-line complaints about the new edition of windows. Some users have noticed that they've lost files on their computers.
