Mo 12/31/18- New Year's Eve- WATER DOWNSTAIRS!!!!!
Mo 12/31/18- New Year's Eve
*********************
And, on the last day of the year....
I'm down about a hundred and fifty thousand from the peak this summer.
$1,400,000 to $1,253,000
*********************
Up 715am; heavy rain through late morning; upper 30's.
Watched 'SNOWDEN' (Amazon Prime) Oliver Stone's examination of CIA contractor, Edward Stone. This film clearly portrays him as an heroic whistleblower, but many feel he is a traitor. To me it shows that although Snowden may be guilty of a crime, the crimes and illegalities of the American government are far more horrendous.
Then 'FITS AND STARTS' (Amazon Prime) Wyatt Cenac and Greta Lee play a married couple. They're both writers, but she's more successful, and a wacky 'salon party' in Greenwich, CT proves to be a tipping point in their marriage; witty and clever.
2pm-To Planet Fitness. 45" Walk (The Melvins). 45" Recumbent Bike (read THE LAST TESTAMENT OF THE HOLY BIBLE and listened to Live Townes Van Zandt). 45" Cross (PINE GAP/ read). 30" Cross (UNBREAKABLE).
Home to soak/ listen to The Sir Douglas Quintet and more James Frey.
When I entered the downstairs area I noticed seepage- no standing water, but it's fucking wet. Will run the fan, and tomorrow I'll get the anti-water-in-the-air-machine fucking running.
A short note to Janny....I got thru to Elsie's at 615pm this evening and spoke for three minutes.
Then, BEER IS CHEAPER THAN THERAPY- a documentary on Amazon Prime that examines the fact that 'everyone is wounded in war'. A profile of Fort Hood- Killeen, Texas- young guys doing multiple tours of American war zones, and they come back with no psychological support to a town full of Dollar Stores, Walmarts, cheap bars, and Fast Food.... ain't' that pretty at all.... Lots of tattoos, binge drinking, and the crushing realization that they don't really have a way out.... So Sad.
Then watched the beginning of a New York Times interview with Elizabeth Warren on Youtube.
