Th 1/17/19

Up 6am; overcast with some light drizzle. A 'Winter Warning' until 9am, but it's not cold enough to make that much of an impact. Cloudy all day and temps hovering around 32.

Copied the 'Cheese Blog' to Dropbox, and then wrote up 'THE BRASS CUPCAKE' for my book blog.

Watched 'DEN OF THIEVES' (Xfinity)  WOW!!! I just took a blind chance and had no idea what it was about, and I was completely blown away! Maybe the best bank heist film ever. Gerard Butler/ 50 Cent/ and Ice Cube's son, as the 'surprise' mastermind of a super-duper criminal escapade. Los Angeles is the bank robbery capitol of the world- there's a bank heist every 47". 'The Big Caper' in this film concerns the LA branch of the Federal Reserve. As the reserve counts money deposited by local banks, they destroy old currency, and the serial numbers on this cash is permanently wiped. Now it's completely untraceable if they can save it before it's shredded. How the crew does the robbery is a long and twisty tale- the film is almost two and a half hours and contains some of the best gun fights I've seen.

Then the last half hour of 'PROPHET'S PREY' (Xfinity) about Warren Jeffs that I started many weeks ago.

And, the pilot for 'Z- THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING' (Amazon Prime) Christina Ricci as Zelda Sayre in a 'fictionalized biography' by Amazon Studios, but they only produced one season.

1245pm- reading 'WE OWN THE SKIES' and LA Fitness later.
Still nothing from Dr. Ellison's office....anticipation builds. And, still nada at the end of the day.

130pm to LA Fitness. When I walked in the retired gym teacher called me over and we talked for almost a half hour about people/ regulars at the FitClub that we had known over the years (decades).
45" Cross (new show on Netflix about three suburban women who rob a grocery store and the fallout of their misadventure).45" Bike (had to use my data to listen to The Dirty Projectors. I wanted to get something from Hoopla, but the library had taken all requests possible for today....There's a nice Dead album that's at least two hours). 45" Walk (Netflix). 45" Recumbent (read/ my data). 30" Cross (UNBREAKABLE).
I stopped at Schnuck's to do the grocery shopping, but NO CABBAGE. I fled and did the deed at County Market/ Fairhills. $65, and I got a few things at the Dollar Store; incense/ cold pills...looking for matches but they only had the 'stick' kind and I found the 'cigarette' kind at County.
Put the food away and in the tub to listen to Live Dead and read more 'WE OWN THE SKY'; a heck of of thing to be reading as I await the results of my blood test. Will I need a prostate biopsy???

Another episode of 'THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL'- no problems logging on to Amazon.
