Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". From RogerEbert.com: "In its style, “Magpie” is a marital thriller with noir trappings galore, including an almost ridiculously convoluted (yet satisfying) conclusion. Still, it’s most effective as the study of an angry wife’s chaotic psychological state." 

Watched 'NICKEL BOYS' (Amazon Prime). It's an unusual presentation about a young black teen in the American south at the beginning of the civil rights movement. His family thought that they had sent him to a 'negro college', but actually he became a non-paid laborer on a work farm that had very little to do with education. I shut it down at 105 minutes and I'll finish the film tonight. 

1140am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then visit Esporta.  After the workout it's across the street to the vitamin shoppe and then on to Schnucks for beer & soda.

1230pm: To Esporta...45"Precor, 45"Treadmill, 30"Cross, 30"Recumbent Bike, 30"Precor;  binged 3 episodes (one remains) on 'THE CONFESSION KILLER' (Netflix)- Henry Lucas probably only killed 3 people, but confessed to hundreds. Otis Toole helped. 

To Binny's for a 30pk of Pabst, Diet Sprite, 4pk WYNK (10mg per can). This will be my first experience with THC drinks. But, I completely forgot the vitamins. I saw a 2 car accident at Veterans & Monroe. One car was totaled & emergency vehicles hadn't arrived.

540pm: In the tub with 'THE DEVIL'S PUNCHBOWL' and listening to JACK DEJOHNETTE Playlist all session. 

Finished 'HISTORY HYENAS'.

Finished 'NICKEL BOYS' (Amazon Prime). The central character, Ellwood, was set to go to college, but he took a ride from a man riding in a stolen car. Ellwood ends up at 'The Nickel Academy' which is a reform school in Florida. The 'boys' were loaned out to do chores for the local white folks and, of course, they were never compensated for their labor. The narration changes perspective frequently- sometimes the viewer is 'looking out' as if 'you are Ellwood'.  Also, gritty black and white footage of the historical timeline is mixed with the live action. Two Oscars; 60 wins & 179 nominations. "91" Metascore and I would only go to "81".
