Watched 'WE THE ANIMALS' (Netflix) A Sundance winner about three young brothers in a dysfunctional family. With a Puerto Rican father and a white mother the boys are largely unsupervised and must learn to raise themselves. A very lyrical and impressionistic look at the struggles of children trapped in the thrall of rural poverty; subplot- the youngest brother comes to terms with his gayness.

Then, 'YOU WERE NEVER REALLY HERE' (Amazon Prime) Joaquin Phoenix as a dour and depressed hitman who is contracted to rescue a senator's daughter from a child sex ring. The hitman's actions uncover a netherworld of sexual depravity among the politically powerful. This is very much an art film, yet strikingly original imagery and a beautiful soundscape make it more than worth a look; Jonny Greenwood, Radiohead guitarist does the music.

Then, the 'LORENA' that I missed last night.The last in the series, and I can't help but believe that John Wayne is in the 'mentally challenged' IQ range. He clearly has a tendency for violent behavior when drinking. He seems like the poster boy for a domestic violence perpetrator.

I called Dax to find out the percentage of an estate that is awarded to the executor for his work on the case.

'STUDIO 54' (Netflix)   Studio 54 was an actual television studio that was known for such shows as, 'THIS IS YOUR LIFE' and 'CAPTAIN KANGAROO'.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
