Up 6am; cloudy and cold with about an inch of snow predicted for this afternoon- to about 30.
Watched 'JUNO' (Xfinity) I had forgotten how well written and flat-out hysterical this movie was. An uncomfortable subject treated with wit, humor, and intelligence.
Then, 'THE HUNTER'S PRAYER' (Amazon Prime) A lackluster thriller where a hitman loses his nerve. He's killed her mother and father, but he can't seem to kill the daughter. Some interesting chase scenes as the unlikely pair dodge bad guys and shoot up the town. One of the stars of 'TRANSPARENT' is the only saving grace, and of course I didn't recognize her.
Then rewatching the season opener for 'HIGH MAINTENANCE' from HBO on Xfinity. A very strange series that's made up of odd ball characters in unusual urban settings- Like nothing else, however only two shows out of three seasons are available for free.
1pm to FitClub West. Just under an inch of snow has fallen, and it looks like it could snow another foot.
Very slick on the secondary roads. Went into a fairly intense skid heading west at the stop sign at Lawrence and Durkin (bowling alley).
45" Octane (Mott The Hoople) 45" Walk (Reality TV all workout). 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 30" Old Style Cross.
Home to shovel (pushed aside; not enough to shovel) the walk and the driveway.
Did the weekly cleaning.....No Call To Elsie's- Ever Again; seems a little strange.
In the tub for 'THE DECEIVERS' and The Pet Shop Boys on tape.
'SIDE OF THE ANGELS- THE TERROR ROUTES' (Amazon Prime) A documentary about the terrorists behind 9/11. Examines the history of modern radical islamic terrorism back to the late 1970's; the Shah of Iran/ assassination of Anwar Sadat were key to the birth of this movement. However, the presentation is fairly dry and I wonder how much was opinion rather than fact. There is another hour and a half chapter of this 2 Part Series, but not sure if I'll give it a go.
