Awoke about 330am and downloaded 'DOO- WOP' (Miles Davis) from Hoopla, and then read 'DO NOT BECOME ALARMED' till almost 5am- the wind was howling!!
Up 8am; very strong winds last night- thirty mph and gusts to fifty. Sunny and very windy all day; temps to lowers 30's.
Watched Netflix disc, 'PUZZLE' Kelly McDonald plays Agnes, a Catholic woman in a traditional marriage in Yonkers, NY who finds the world of competitive puzzling and inadvertently learns that an important piece of her life is missing. A 'coming of age' film about a wife and mother in her forties is rather unusual, but the outstanding performances make it all worthwhile. Irrfan Khan is brilliant as Agnes's puzzle partner and lover, and all of the actors are phenomenal.
Then, 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' (Netflix) I don't remember ever seeing this overlooked gem. Toronto band nerd Scott Pilgrim falls hard for mysterious Ramona Flowers and must fight death matches with her "Seven Evil X's"; Michael Cera/ Mary Elizabeth Winstead/ Anna Kendrick/ Aubrey Plaza/ Mark Webber/ Jason Schwartzman. One of the guys in the band (Mark Webber) plays a character called 'Stephen Stills' and another band mate is 'Young Neil'...."We Are sex Bob-Omb" (Beck)
It's 2pm and I'm beginning the Weekly Clean-up; hit Planet Fitness and the Wabash PO around 3pm.
45" Walk (the last episode of THE MONEY HEIST, but it's 'to be continued'. It seemed like it was 'forever' anyway). 45" Recumbent Bike (began 'THE BONE TREE'- Iles). 45" Cross (MR. ROBOT). 30" Walk (amazon music/ Robot). 30" Cross (UNBREAKABLE).
Home to soak and listen to 'GREEN ON RED' (I had included some live Kingsmen on the tape and it blended so well after Green on Red) and more Greg Iles.
Then a whole bunch of heartache with the downstairs computer....Getting the Dreaded Bing instead of the Reliable Google...wasted more time then was necessary.
25" documentary about Donald Trump's taxes on Xfinity. NY Times reporters uncovered tax fraud among Trumps siblings to channel their father's wealth to themselves without paying taxes. The president claims that he borrowed one million from his father and he was able to inflate this to millions, but really it was just the millions from his father's estate- minus the inheritance taxes and this is illegal.
Then, 'THE FAMILY I HAD' (Xfinity). A mother deals with the fact that her fourteen year old son has murdered his four year old sister. Sociopath???? Too much beer and up too early....asleep at the monitor.
