Up 610am; partly cloudy, breezy with temps to around fifty.
Wrote up 'THE BOY MADE OF BLOCKS' by Keith stuart for the blog.
Watched Netflix disc, 'THE PADRE' Luis Guzman and Nick Nolte are chasing Tim Roth (The Padre) through rural Mexico. Nolte is a retired US Marshal (Guzman is a local cop) and wants Roth because he believes that he's responsible for his daughter's death. A young Mexican actress, 'Lena', steals the show as a teenager who hooks up with con-man Roth to try to make him help her connect with her baby sister in Minnesota. Some nice rural Mexican scenery and villages are featured, but not much else.
Watched an hour YouTube video of Keith Stuart talking about his novel and the impact of video games on modern life; Video gaming is worth more than the music and movie industries COMBINED! And, The Guardian is the only large newspaper that has a gaming editor. Games are being designed for people with autism.
SIMS seems to be an older game that's similar to Minecraft in that 'you build a world' in both.
The 'THE WRESTLER' (Xfinity) I listened to an interview with Evan Rachel Wood on Armchair Expert this morning. Darren Aronofsky's award winning, classic film about a washed up wrestler. The desperation and frustration of Mickey Rourke's character is traumatic, and the doomed relationship with striper, Marisa Tomei, is heartbreaking. Evan Rachel Wood's character is just a ball of anger- she's great.
Watched a few YouTube interview videos about the film
145pm- collect some branches from the backyard. Then, to the Wabash PO and Planet Fitness. After the workout, County Market/ Fairhills for the weekly shopping.
45" Walk (NORTHERN RESCUE). 45" Recumbent Bike (read John D. MacDonald/ TAVARES- soul). 45" Cross (NORTHERN RESCUE). 30" Walk (GIRLS). 30" Cross (Girls).
$52 at County Market
Home to soak and more Florida Keys Hijinks and listened to THE COWS.
'DANGER, DAMES, & DANGEROUS GAMES' (Amazon Prime) Low budget Black Comedy/ Drama about a man infected with the vampire virus and how it effects his life. The FBI wants him, zombies want him, and something about his blood is very different, and it seems that he must make a choice. Not that good of a film, but maybe worth a shot. This was not the film that I originally wanted to see, and I don't know how it popped up.
