Sa 4/27/19- Brandenburgs at Noon on 19th..... BOUGHT NEW BLACK ELANTRA

Sa 4/27/19- Brandenburgs at Noon on 19th- BO

Up 730am; overcast, 50's and light rain beginning late morning and continued through most of the day.

Watched Netflix disc, 'ON THE BASIS OF SEX'   Not merely a biopic of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but more about the strange US Supreme Court case that paved the way for more sexual equality under the law. A caregiver was not allowed to deduct his taxes because he was a man.

Played around looking for cars. I think I'll just buy a Hyundai. Many can be had for way under twenty grand.

Leaving for the Brandenburgs 1140 am and will hit the PO on Monroe to mail the disc on the way.

Talked until 230pm then I left and took a leak at the Arby's on Sangamon. I was going to buy a coffee, but the clerk turned her back, so I left.

To the Hyundai dealership on Dirksen across from Penney's.

Bought a new ( 4,000 miles; used as a loaner) 2019 Hyundai Elantra SEL- $17,000). This was the best deal because I got the most off because it had been a loaner. I looked at a red Elantra that was loaded, for a couple of thousand more, but I wouldn't need a sun roof/ turn on-off with smart phone. And then a red Elantra that was just like the Black one that I bought but it was new, so I didn't get the 'loaner' rebate/ discount. Wasn't worth it.

The only extra I got was a type of finish that I don't need to wax for six years.

And, I paid an additional three hundred to get a key so that I could remote start. I've always wanted one of these.

I pick it up Monday afternoon after they do the finish (also includes an upholstery 'finish' that I never have to worry about interior stains).

I'll call Dax on Monday and see if he can get the money in the account by Monday afternoon.

And, when I got home tonight, I found the title to the Honda Accord. They gave me a grand for the car, and that was more than fair....I thought.

It took forever to do/ wait for the paperwork, and I didn't get out of there until 530pm.

On the machines at Planet Fitness: 45" Walk (WIDOW). 45" Cross (WIDOW). 30" Walk (WIDOW). 30" Cross (OFF CAMERA- Seth Rogen).

Home to clean the catbox area and soak to a compilation of Death Metal Tunes and read more Harry Hole.

Several short films about the suburban home explosion of the 50's (Amazon Prime). Strange black and white advertisements for asbestos ?

Then, THIS GIANT BEAST THAT IS THE GLOBAL ECONOMY- IS MONEY BULLSHIT? (Amazon Prime) The host visits a couple of survivalists.
