Fr 5/17/19- New Sound Bar for DVD/ Sundown One- New System/ New PC- BLH
Fr 5/17/19
Up 620am; very warm, partly cloudy- high 80's.
Watched 'GOOD WILL HUNTING' (Netflix) Matt Damon's interview with Sam Jones really puts this film into focus. Ben Affleck and Damon had been working on this script for years before it made it to the screen'; with Robin Williams/ Minnie Driver/ Casey Affleck/ Stellan Skarsgard.
Then watched, 'SOME GUY WHO KILLS PEOPLE' (Amazon Prime) A well-done Independent about 'Bullying' and 'Revenge'. A Pathetic guy is marking time after being released from a mental institution. He was tortured by his high school basketball team, and never quite recovered. He meets his long-lost daughter, and happens upon a new love interest and his life begins to turn around, except it looks like he has has been murdering the guys who abused him. 'The Twist' is that he didn't do the killing, it was his best friend; Kevin Corrigan/ Karen Black/ Leo Fitzpatrick/.
Just as I was closing the computer I opened my payment email from Xfinity and found that they were charging me for Cinemax, Showtime, and Starz at five bucks per channel. I called and found out that I've had the service for a year, and that was the promotional rate- $79.95. Now it would be $120. I'll not pay this because they bill a month in advance. I called and now my rate is $95.18, so it went up fifteen bucks...FOR THE SAME SERVICE.
150pm: To Walmart, the Sundown One, then the 'Y'. And after the workout, groceries at County Market/ Fairhills.
Bought six lawn lights for five bucks a pop/ A Sound Bar and connecting cord for seventy/ and the Tamsulosin was free.
To Sundown One and got a quote for a 55" TV and a Bose Sound Bar- $1,200 installation included.
Because the guy said that the new PC would need HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Input) and something called '4 K Card' I decided to go to BLH and see what I could get. After talking with the clerks I decided that I would have them put in an HDMI card because all of the ones for sale didn't have them. The piece that allowed '4 K Card' capability would have to be ordered and cost three hundred. The owner said that he had a 55" TV and he didn't have this gismo. It just made the quality somewhat better; $300 for the new PC. And, when the installation from Sundown One is complete, I can bring it in- they gave me twenty-five bucks for the old computer, and I can drop off the 40" TV for free.
To FitClub South. 45" The Better Octane. 45" Walk (JAILBIRDS). 30" Cross (TV News).
$55 even at the County Market on South Sixth.
Home to soak and read 'THE LEAVERS' and listen to THE COCTEAU TWINS.
The next 'BOSCH' and more 'Fahrenheit 11/9'.
