Up 645am; sunny with temps to 90. Out of the blue, storms in the late afternoon and temps dropped to the 70's. It was only supposed to be a 10 percent chance of rain today.... Go Figure....

Wrote up 'NO MIDDLE NAME' by Lee Child (a collection of novellas and short stories) for the blog.

Watched 'MEN OF RESPECT' (Amazon Prime) A mob picture based on Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'. A bit ham-fisted and over-blown; John Turturro/ Rod Steiger/ Stanley Tucci/ Dennis Farina/ Peter Boyle/ Katherine Borowitz (she is Turturro's wife in real life)..."No man of woman born".

Then, 'OFF THE RECORD' (Amazon Prime) Filmed in Austin Texas and almost a promotional movie for Thrill Quill Studio. His mother dies and Johnny Coyle tries to jump start his faded musical career, but mayhem ensues.

1245pm: PC 'Off'; Reading 'MISEDUCATION'. The plan was to bike to fitclub west later, but a particularly violent storm band crossed through (not on any of the weather maps until an hour before it happened).
230pm: Drove to FitClub West and hit Walgreens on the way back for a six dollar tube of itch stuff.

Home to read downstairs (MISEDUCATION) and listen to a Sonny Rollins tape; I taped this on the first Saturday of October, 1991 in Woodstock.

Another 'KILLER WOMEN WITH PIERS MORGAN' (Netflix)  Nineteen year old Florida girl sets up a pot deal, she wasn't even present when her co-defendants kill the guy,  yet they all get life without parole.....Then, the first episode of 'TRANSPARENT'.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Another episode of 'I'M DYING UP HERE', and then another 'GLOW'. 250PM- Drove to FitClub West, then after the workout to the County Market on south sixth for beer and some groceries- and a dependable can opener!  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
