Mo 6/24/19- Johnson's Condition

Up 640am; overcast and a shower later this morning; upper 70's.

Watched .'THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNETS NEST' (Hoopla)  A terrific end to the trilogy. Lizbeth is given back her rights and cleared of all wrong doing; "Seeya around"- "You Bet".

Called Republic and got a referral to HABITAT FOR HUMANITY. Made an appointment for Wednesday, July 3rd between 3pm and 5pm.

Called Angie Fenner and made an appointment for June 16th, Tuesday, at 330pm.

Wrote the Weekly Wrap.

And, one and a half episodes of 'SNEAKY PETE' (Amazon).

230pm: On the bike to the 'Y', and on the machines by 3pm. 45" Walk (Reality TV All Workout). 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 30" Walk. 30" Cross.

Home with more 'Eleanor' and in the tub with DEER TICK/ PIXIES.

Upstairs for tonight's feature and I got an email from Cindy about Dave Johnson:

"Johnson is in hospital and transferred to ICU and undergoing evaluation. Liver failure, kidney failure, dementia, severe malnutrition. If he starts eating maybe 3-6 months to live, but he keeps pulling his IV out and thinks he's in a hotel. So sad."

My Reply:

That's terrible news, but I guess it's no surprise given his current (and not so current) life style.
It's so sad that two of my closest friends from many years ago had to end their lives so tragically.
I suppose Dave's brothers and family are aware of his condition, and doing what is necessary, but I guess there's not much anyone can do at this stage. It's just so, so sad....Thanks for the bitter update, and I hope that you are doing well... kw

I watched two episodes of 'KILLER WOMEN WITH PIERS MORGAN'.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
