Up 612am by the alarm on the phone. Worked very well. I moved the car out of the garage so that I won't be blocked in if they park their truck in the driveway.
It's already in the high 70's and temp should get to 96 later with heat indexes in the triple digits.
840am the two guys from Acculevel showed up. Victor and partner, two Hispanic hard-workers. I spoke about the job and what might be required in the other room, then I left to take Buddy to Brewers. Back in the living room watching 'LOVESONG' by 910am.
There's no way Buddy could have handled the noise. He would have freaked out and cried the entire time.
'LOVESONG' A young woman married too early and had a daughter too young reconnects with a friend from college. Their friendship turns sexual and then the friend leaves, and the film takes up three years later. The friend is getting married, but the love between the two friends resurfaces. 'Love' and 'Longing' are the big themes of the film. No steamy love scenes, but the chemistry between Riley Keough and Jena Malone was electrifying; with Marshall Chapman and Rosanna Arquette.
Watched three episodes of 'DOPE' (Netflix) and finished the series.
Skimmed through 'Remembering Springfield' on Facebook.
230pm: PC 'Off'; still working away downstairs.
I finished 'THE SIXTH MAN' and began 'BEYOND BELIEF' and checked on the guys a couple of times. They were wrapping it up, and around 445pm I drove over to pickup Buddy; $17. The guys 'proved' that the sump worked- they poured the tank full and it pumped water somewhere?
DIDN'T LIKE:
1) I think a little too much of the hedge was removed, but I couldn't think of a better way to do it.
2) The basement floor MUST be painted, but I couldn't think of a better way to do it.
3) The sod work on the side of the house looks a little sloppy, but "I.....".
They wouldn't accept payment. They just do the job. Very strange and not at all like other contrators.
Felt exhausted and drained, but hit Planet Fitness for an abreviated workout; 5pm. 30" Walk. (TOO OLD TO DIE YOUNG). 30" Cross. (TOO OLD...). 30" Walk. (OFF CAMERA- Javier Bardem); 1hr 30" Total.
Home to soak and began 'DOUBLE WHAMMY' and listened to FLAMING LIPS/ DINOSAUR JR.
Season 4, Episode 1- 'ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK'. Then a couple of 'UNDERCOVER' (Netflix).
