Up 715am; overcast, cooler, but humid. Showers possible this afternoon- to low 80's.

I dragged the hose and rack around to the front and watered the flowers.

I wrote up 'EYE IN THE SKY'- Philip K. Dick for the blog.

Watched 'MISSISSIPPI GRIND' (Netflix)   A terrific 'Road/ Buddy' movie about two gamblers, one loser and one charmer, who take a trip from Iowa to New Orleans to strike it rich. Ben Mendelsohn and Ryan Reynolds are perfect as the two leads. I learned of a new singer, Marshal Chapman. She plays Reynold's mother in the film, and I found several of her albums on Amazon Music.

1145am: PC is 'Off' and I'm moving the bookcase out of the way of the new sump pump.

Moved the shelving unit and cleaned the area. Threw out a bunch of stuff and found a bunch of stuff; movie camera/ regular camera/ "Does Jesus believe in cheese burgers"?

Read downstairs to KINKS KRONIKLES/ THE DAMNED and more Baldacci.

230pm on the bike to LA Fitness. 45" Walk. (TOO OLD TO DIE YOUNG). 45" Recumbent Bike. (read/ THIRD WORLD PSYCHEDELIC CLASSICS- Amazon Music). 45" Cross. (TOO OLD...). 30" Walk. (ENTOURAGE). 30" Cross. (Finished the Sam Jones interviews with Bo Burnham and Sissy Spacek).

Home to read downstairs for a half hour and I got the speaker bar to play some KINKS/ MARSHALL CHAPMAN....I have no idea how I did it, and makes no sense at all.

In the tub for more Baldacci and MARSHALL CHAPMAN.

Next episode of 'GENERATION KILL' (Amazon Prime). Then 'CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM'- Larry needs a wire buried on his back lawn, but a neighbor couple won't allow it until they meet one of Larry's 'star' friends on Seinfeld.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
