We 8/21/19 Dental Checkup- 320pm
Up 715am; Cloudy, cooler, and rain to begin early this afternoon- to low 80's.
I got a text from Xfinity saying that the Internet was restored at 210am this morning. Worked fine and checked on Speed Test and I'm getting 71 Mbps!
Watched 'HEADHUNTER' (Hoopla) The biggest Norwegian film of all time. An executive who 'head hunts' for top managerial talent uses his position as a cover for his art thefts. Lots of twists and turns, but a very compelling film. It looks like it will be made into a mini-series for HBO.
Then, 'NICK' (Amazon Prime) An English film shot on the Spanish-French border. A small town female cop is forced to take in her 13 year old step-brother whom she had only met once. He discovers a killer in the town, but no one believes him until the last frame of the film. Not as bad as the User Reviewers claimed.
Then episode #4 of 'PATRIOT' (Amazon Prime)
230pm: PC is 'Off' and will drive to the dentist just after 3pm.
Was in the chair at 330pm. A mild dental exam and cleaning. I opted to take the fifty dollar cancer screen. This consisted of shining a bright light in my mouth...."That's fifty bucks"? And the dentist noticed that I needed a replacement crown on the lower right side. Some question about the insurance coverage because it must be at least ten years old. The only new ones were installed by Westside, and the rest might be upwards of thirty years old or more. They took an xray to send to the insurance company and Taylor will call with the results. I told her that I'd probably have the crown replaced regardless, but I wanted to know my coverage.
Just after 4pm I drove to the Shoe Carnival and got two pairs of running shoes for a hundred bucks; a black pair with white laces and a 'subdued' red pair that I plan to use on the treadmill when I wear out my orange shoes.
On the machines at Planet Fitness at 5pm. 45" Walk (DIAGNOSIS- first episode; a physician working at the New York Times prints stories about medical conditions that doctors are unable to diagnose, and other doctors and the general public weigh in). 45" Cross (DIAGNOSIS). 30" Walk (Diagnosis). 30" Cross (OFF CAMERA- Mary Elizabeth Winstead); 2 1/2 hr workout.
Home to soak and listen to BLACK CROWES/ DAVE HOLE, and more Count Rostov.
The next and final episode of 'FREE MEEKS', and then a couple of ' CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASMS'.
