Up 640am: Cloudy, drizzle and light to heavy rain all day- to 50.
Watched Netflix disc, 'THE DOUBLE'. Taken from a novella by Dostoevsky and concerns a shy, young office worker who meets his doppelganger who is brash, bold, and a 'disrupter', yet no one notices; with Jesse, Mia Wasikowska, Wallace Shawn, and Cathy Moriarty. A strange, somber film with a very dark, yet quirky tone.
Then, 'RATTLESNAKE' (Netflix). A mother and her five year old daughter are driving across Texas and get a flat tire in the middle of nowhere. While changing the flat, her daughter is bitten by a rattlesnake, but it's some kind of 'bargain with the devil'. Although the daughter is apparently alive, she will die unless mom can find a soul to trade. Not very well written, and could have been an episode of 'BLACK MIRROR' if the script was tightened up.
1145am: Reading 'CAMINO ISLAND' and gave the new 'Big Brother Boom Box' it's first workout; JONI MITCHELL/ KOKO TAYLOR/ ROBERT JOHNSON. Finished the Grisham novel and began a James Lee Burke.
Drove to the Wabash PO and mailed the ten dollar fee to renew the drivers license and on the machines at Planet Fitness by 245pm: 45" Walk (The first two episodes of 'LIVING WITH YOUR SELF'). 45" Recumbent Bike (Read Burke/ MITCH RYDER AND THE DETROIT WHEELS). 45" Cross (WTF- Wayne Kramer...for the entire rest of the workout). 30" Walk. 30" Cross.
The plan was to hit County Market/ Fairhills for the weekly shopping, but it was pouring rain and chilly.....so tomorrow.
Home to read in the living room and listen to 'NICK THE KNIFE'- Nick Lowe, and then in the tub for Wayne Kramer's jazz album, 'LEXINGTON'/ JACK WHITE.
Episode #9 'BREAKING BAD' (Netflix). Then a fifteen minute YouTube interview with Mitch Ryder, then some stuff about the BLACK KEYS, the some stuff about 'CROSBY STILLS YOUNG AND NASH'.
