Up 8am: Hazy early and then partly cloudy with temps to about 30. About an inch of powdery snow fell last night, and I swept/ pushed it off the drive and walk when taking out the trash.
Watched, 'HANCOCK' (Amazon Prime- leaving Prime on 12/31 so I decided to give it a shot) INTERESTING FACT: in 2008 Vince Gilligan help write the screenplay, but dropped out to begin his new project, 'BREAKING BAD'; with Will Smith, Charlize Theron, Jason Bateman, and Eddie Marsan. A wicked twist on the 'Superhero' genre. Hancock is not a straight-laced do-gooder or Jesus in leotards, but a depressed, lonely alcoholic with superhuman powers. Many reviewers panned it, but it is one of the first films to star a black superhero ever and I liked it.
Then, 'MILES IN THE LIFE' (Amazon Prime) Watched half and will save the last 45" for tonight.
Paid the cards and wrote a reply to Janny's email, and off to the 'Y' around 130pm.
On the machines at the 'Y' by 145pm. 45" Walk (According to the phone MTV schedule it was 'TEEN MOMS' all afternoon, but they played the movie, 'TITANIC'). 45" Recumbent Bike (TV all workout). 45" Cross. 30" Walk. 30" Cross.
To County Market/ Fairhills: $69 groceries.
Home to soak and listen to STEVE REICH and LYNYRD SKYNYRD, and skimmed about half of 'HOW TO BEHAVE IN A CROWD'.
First episode of Season 3 again because I don't remember how the 'plane crash' fit into the story, then I decided to leave the pilot for Season 1 (60") for another day, and finished the last 45" of 'MILES IN THE LIFE' which was about a black college student who linked up with Atlanta's BLACK MAFIA FAMILY. This was a black criminal organization that was said to be highly intelligent and if they had entered a 'non-illegal' field, they would have been tremendously successful. He drove a limo between Georgia and California and transported millions in cash and drugs, and never ratted. He seems like a nice, reasonable fellow.
Then a YouTube bio of Marilyn Manson (Brian Warner). And then began a bit of a YouTube bio of Motley Crue: Both eminently forgettable.
