Up 715am: Sunny early, but cloudy later- temps to about 50.

Wrote up 'SYCAMORE ROW' for the blog.

Watched 'MARY GOES ROUND' (Amazon Prime) A film with a novel premise- An addiction counselor with a drinking problem. After being arrested for drunk driving Mary hears that her estranged father desperately needs to see her. She travels to her hometown of Niagara Falls and meets her half-sister for the first time and learns that her father is dying of lung cancer. It's an interesting take on the 'alcoholic genre' of films; a stellar Canadian cast.

Then, 'STUCK' (IMDB-TV) Directed by Stuart Gordon who directed yesterday's film, 'EDMOND'. He's known for his horror films such as 'RE-ANIMATOR'. A young girl hits a man crossing the street after a late night of partying. He goes through the windshield and she puts the car in her garage with the man still stuck in the windshield. Surprisingly good; with Mena Suvari and Stephen Rea.

1pm: To the 'Y'. To Walmart later to spend the Aetna gift card.
On the machines at the 'Y' by 120pm. 45" Walk (TV all workout). 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 30" Walk. 30" Cross.

I drove to Walmart, but couldn't find a thing. I didn't want to buy thirteen pound bags of dry cat food. I'll buy the seven pound bags online. And, nothing interested me. The new Chromebooks looked good, but I don't need one.

Home to read downstairs for about an hour.
****I intentionally had left the electric heater plugged in, but it was running when I came into the room. It must have been set to kickoff when the temp dropped to a particular temperature. I've never set the fucking thing! It's unplugged now, and I've reviewed the operating instructions.
I began 'THE BITTER SEASON'- Tami Hoag and listened to a YouTube video of JESSE HARRIS AND THE FERNANDOS and ALANIS MORRISSEY.
Then in the tub with more Hoag and THE ARISTOCRATS and ARTHUR CONNELLY.

Then the next 'BETTER CALL SAUL' (Netflix).
Then a YouTube video about GRAND FUNK RAILROAD. A very young Michael Moore is one of the hosts and a fan of 'the working man's band'.

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
