We 1/22/2020- Book Club 6pm.

Up 7am: Partly cloudy- low 30's. A wintry mix began as I was leaving the library. Snow, sleet, and rain to continue for the next couple of days.

Watched Netflix disc, 'THE CRUCIBLE' . A married man spurns his young lover and she retaliates with 'THE DEVIL'. Hysteria ensues; with Daniel Day- Lewis, Winona Ryder, Joan Allen, Paul Scofield.  A film classic, I loved it!

Watched the end of 'THE 13TH STEP' (Amazon Prime)  and shut down the PC and skimmed the book club novel until 1230pm.

On the machines at FitClub West by 1245pm. 45" Octane (TRUE CRIME). 45" Walk (Reality TV all workout). 45" Cross. 30" Walk. 30" Cross.

Home to shower and on the road to the library by 515pm. The book club members liked the book! A nice discussion.

Watched 'A DARK PLACE' (Amazon Prime). A slightly autistic (?) garbage truck driver solves a murder case of a young boy who was thought to have just drowned. The psychologist was a pedophile: Moody and well done.

Then watched, 'JAMES MAY - OUR MAN IN JAPAN' (Amazon Prime). James May travel to Hokkaido in Northernmost Japan.... Snowball fights like commercial paintballing. ...Then he helps make a samurai sword.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
