We 1/8/2020- Guy From Xfinity On The Pole Next Door
Up 740am: Another cloudless day with temps to mid 30's. Heavy rains predicted for this weekend. This might be the first test of the new sump pump.
Watched Netflix disc, 'STUBER'. A few cheap laughs, but overall it's a silly comedy because the premise is so unbelievable. A Los Angeles detective can't see after lasik surgery so he forces an Uber driver to help him apprehend a violent member of a drug gang; with Dave Bautista, Kumail Nanjiani, and Mira Sorvino as the evil, twisted cop.
*****11am: I noticed a Xfinity truck parked in front of Boozer's old house and then watched the guy go up the pole behind the house. Hope my connection will not be affected.
*****About 1120am the Internet went off, and I went out and asked the guy, and he said that it should be back on. It was.
*****1130am: Now he's in the 'roof rake' house's backyard. He looked up at the pole in the back but didn't bother to get his ladder. He was gone from Westview in just a few minutes. I did an Xfinity Speed Test and I'm back and running 100 plus Mbps.
Watched, 'SWEETHEART' (Netflix). The boating accident is never shown, but a girl and a guy are washed ashore on a remote island. He dies, she buries him, and a monster drags his body out to sea. Days later, two other survivors show up on a raft, and then they are killed by the monster. The first girl takes on the monster in a final fight to the death. She wins, movie over, and I've lost ninety minutes of my life- Another silly, less than satisfying movie.
Called State Farm about the fact that I don't have the new proof of insurance card. She said that if they don't arrive by Jan 14th, I can pick them up at the office.
2pm: To the Wabash PO to mail the disc and a workout at Planet Fitness.
45" Walk (TRUE CRIME). 45" Recumbent Bike (Read James Lee Burke and listened to Amazon Music THE MELVINS). 45" Cross (First episode of MESSIAH- Netflix). 30" Walk (TRUE CRIME), 30" Cross (TRUE CRIME).
Home to hit the computer room and use the Google Notebook to find out what happened to 'EDUCATED' that I ordered from Moonbok. I found the trashed email and downloaded the book. Then put in to my email and to Dropbox. I should have it for keeps.
Then in the tub with more Burke and THE GREENHORNS and BUFFALO KILLERS.
The next 'BETTER CALL SAUL' (Netflix). Jimmy's problems with THE SANDPIPER CROSSING nursing home.
Then a, 'COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE'
A ten minute YouTube news/ comedy about Trump's 'almost' war with Iran without congress approval.
