Up 650am: Frigid temps with below zero wind chills- sunny.
Paid the cards.
Watched Netflix dis, 'HEAVENLY CREATURES' and I received the trilogy by Anne Perry in the mail yesterday. From Roger Ebert's review of the film:
"Sometimes tragedies happen because each person is waiting for someone else to say "no!" In the case of Pauline and Juliet, that truth is complicated by their own emotional maladjustments. What makes Jackson's film enthralling and frightening is the way it shows these two unhappy girls, creating an alternative world so safe and attractive they thought it was worth killing for."
A Peter Jackson film starring Melanie Lynskey and Kate Winslet.
Then watched 'JOHN & YOKO: ABOVE US ONLY SKY (Netflix). I learned about this film from Maron's interview with Sean Lennon on WTF.
From Imdb:
"Film telling the untold story of John Lennon's 1971 album Imagine, exploring the creative collaboration between Lennon and Yoko Ono and featuring interviews and never-seen-before footage." Maybe it's really about a man who has found the love of his life and the film chronicles their lives as she moves him in a new direction. He admits the most of the ideas of 'IMAGINE' were found in Yoko's first book.
About 1pm: Will read in the living room for a while and then the plan is to drop the disc at the box near Fairway and workout at the 'Y'. Then over to Walmart on Vets to pick up the Tamsulosin.
2pm: On the machines at the 'Y'. 45" Cross (TV). 45" Walk (TV). 45" Recumbent Bike (WTF- Richard Lewis). 30" Walk (LEWIS). 30" Cross (LEWIS).
Home to read and drink a cup of instant downstairs; BLUE OYSTER CULT and THE FACES.
Then in the tub with more LONELY BOY and SHARON VAN ETTEN and THE BEATLES- 'Let It Be'.
Watched the next, 'I AM A KILLER' (Netflix).
Then, 'JAMES BROWN: MR. DYNAMITE: THE RISE OF JAMES BROWN' (Amazon Prime). The story of James Brown: From Nowhere to Everywhere! Excellent!
