Up 715am: Overcast to partly sunny, 30's and with a slight chance of snow until Sunday.
Watched Netflix disc, 'BEYOND THE CLOUDS'. Four very odd short stories. The dialog is almost completely composed of non sequiturs. I agreed with the most positive review and the most negative....Both seemed to be true.
"As we watch, we can sense, once again, the eye of a painter, the dreams of a poet and, tying them together, the vision of a master."
"It's not easy to endure, despite -- or due to the embarrassment of -- an all-star cast."
1) Instead of ravishing a new love, he sleeps...
2) "I stabbed my father 12 times"...
3) In three years he hasn't tired of his Parisian lover...
4) "Tomorrow I join a convent"...
And then episode 2 of the Japanese film, 'HAPPY HOUR' (Kanopy). One of the women disappears, then reappears...A son gets his girlfriend pregnant and his mother and grandmother apologize...The nurse breaks her leg and a doctor gets frisky...I don't really know what all of this means, but it is very watchable.
Then the next 'TED BUNDY: FALLING FOR A KILLER'. He has his denouement in Florida after a rampage in a sorority house and the brutal murder of a twelve year old. He's sentenced to death twice and his judge actually tells him to 'take care' and says that he would have made a fine lawyer. The judge is completely oblivious to the women and families that had been destroyed by Bundy's atrocious actions. I wonder what happened to this idiotic judge?
130pm: to Walgreens for the shingles booster and on to the 'Y' for the workout. The shot took about a half hour and I was surprised about how busy the pharmacy can get....People waiting and the drive-up lane was jammed the entire time that I was there.
On the machines at the 'Y' by 230pm. 45" Walk (TV all workout). 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 30" Walk. 30" Cross.
Home to soak and read 'THE ESCAPE': STEALERS WHEEL and ELECTRIC LADYLAND.
The next, 'I AM A KILLER' (Netflix). 1996 Houston; a young man executes a man off a busy expressway ramp. The killer might be the lover of his wife, but this guy is seventeen. The kid said he did it because the husband was abusing his wife, but the wife might have set the whole thing up to get a 200 thousand dollar life insurance policy. An interesting legal dilemma.
Then a thirty minute JONESY'S JUKEBOX with Zakk Wylde, one of the latter BLACK SABBATH guitarists.
Then another episode of , 'FOREVER'- (Amazon Prime). Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph
