Up 640am: Partly cloudy with temps to about 40.
Watched, 'LOCKE' (Kanopy). A concrete engineer drives from Birmingham to London to be with a woman who has told him that he's going to be a father and that she's having the baby tonight. Also, tomorrow is the biggest concrete pour of his company's history and it's vital that he oversee the preparation, and his wife and sons are completely in the dark about Dad's other life. All shot in his car as he tries to save the pour, confess to his wife, and sooth a woman that he barely knows; Tom Hardy is excellent as the harried man. Not a bad film, but not without flaws.
Then, 'THE HAUNTING OF SHARON TATE' (Amazon Prime). The film is a kind of alternative reality to the events on Cielo Drive in early August of 1969. Supposedly Sharon Tate had a dream over a year before her death that she would be murdered and hung in their house in the Hollywood Hills; with Hilary Duff.
1215pm: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to read for a while and then workout at the 'Y'. Trying to read 'EDUCATED' on the phone is a slow process, and it's a very long book. On the machines at the 'Y' by 2pm.
45" Walk (TV). 45" Recumbent Bike (JONESY'S JUKEBOX- Johnny Rotten). 45" Cross (ROTTEN). 30" Walk (JONESY'S JUKEBOX- Malcolm McLaren). 30" Cross (MCLAREN).
Home to do the weekly cleaning, then in the tub with more EDUCATED and listened to BADLY DRAWN BOY and THE BAND).
Watched, 'TICKET TO WRITE: THE GOLDEN AGE OF ROCK MUSIC' (Amazon Prime). Another bland documentary, only this time it's about the beginnings of rock'n' roll journalism.
Then another episode of, 'FOREVER' (Amazon Prime). A young black man and a young Asian American woman fall in love, but don't commit. 25 years later, the man learns that she has died, and he is full of regret. I'm still unclear as to the premise of the series. Is 'Forever' heaven?
