We 2/19/2020
Up 730am after going to bed at 1030pm, Well rested. Partly sunny with temps to mid 30's.
Watched 'AMERICAN DREAMER' (Amazon Prime). Uber driver makes a deal with a local gang boss- 'Be my driver for two days and you get two grand'. Then, a series of killings and one infant kidnapping occur. Almost a wicked satire, but very compelling; with Jim Gaffigan as the driver. I really liked this one!
Then watched, 'COPENHAGEN' (Amazon Prime). A young man travels through Europe, sees the sights, meets friends, and stays in hostels. He has a letter from his recently deceased father to his grandfather that he is trying to deliver. He falls hard for a fourteen year old Danish teenager and she helps him deliver the less than sensational message. Lots of great shots of the city and an unusual love story. Very much worth a look.
Then the end of 'HIRED GUN' (Amazon Prime) that I began last night. 'FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH'? Another super-group that I've never heard of.
130pm: To Ace on Wabash for more furnace filters and to Planet Fitness for the workout.
On the machines by 145pm. 45" Cross (RONAN FARROW- WTF). 45" Bike (Woody Allen's son fighting 'Catch and Kill'- tabloid term to buy a story and then bury it). 45" Cross (WHO KILLED MALCOLM X). 30" Walk (MALCOLM X). 30" Cross (MALCOLM X- more interviews with Ronan Farrow).
Stopped at the Ace Hardware up the hill and bought five filters at five bucks a pop. Each filter is good for three months. The store will be undergoing renovation until April, but they're still open. Tried to find cat litter, but too well hidden.
Home to read downstairs with a cup of instant. Starting to really like EDUCATED and listened to THE BODEANS.
Then in the tub with more adventures from Idaho and more BODEANS.
And then, 'LED ZEPPELIN- ORIGIN OF THE SPECIES' (Amazon Prime). Background info on the roots of the first two Zeppelin records...only for the fans....Then an ancient YouTube 20" video of Steve Jones and Paul Cook returning to Hammersmith for the first time in a couple of decades and walking around their favorite haunts...peas and mash??
Then two episodes of 'FLEABAG' (Amazon Prime).
