Mo 3/16/2020- Taxes; 11am

Up 745am: Cloudy and rain through the morning- to 40.

***I prepared the check for the vehicle sticker so that I will not have to go to the facility. And, I called Epperson's office to get an appointment. I set it up for 11am today. I was set to go in at 230pm on 3/19.

I watched about half of the film, 'THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN' (Kanopy). Will watch the rest tonight.

1020am: PC needs 'Restart' to finish the updates. The restart didn't take and I left the computer running but the monitor off.

I got to Epperson's old office and got out of the car and walked around before I realized that they had moved....several years ago.
The bad news was that I owed $5,000 in state and federal taxes, but the good news was that I made over $90,000 last year! I paid the tax bill and Epperson's charge ($205) from the Ameriprise account. And I stopped over at Dax's office to find out if I had enough cash in that account. The receptionist said Dax was on the phone with a client and she would have Emily call me back. She called just as I got home and said that I had plenty of money to cover the check and it was correct to call. She also said that Dax had been on a conference call with the Ameriprise bigwigs and their Chinese counterparts and that the Covid-19 was easing up in China, so we've got about 40-60 days to weather before things start to look up. Good news, and Emily's talk reassured me.

Then I hit County Market/ Fairhills to do the final shopping spree. I got a bunch of stuff and now I have at least enough supplies to go a month or more without having to do anything involving the public. I even got fifty dollars in cash to replenish my cash money after the last pot purchase.

And then over to the Wabash PO to mail the check to get the new car sticker for the Elantra ($151). I also bought a couple of stamps to prevent me from going back to the PO during my quarantine.

Home to put away all of the groceries and then read/napped on the couch.

Around 530pm I wrote an email to Janny about today's events, and then I took about an hour walk around the neighborhood. Down Westview and up Fairway to Oakmont and around to Chatham....I don't know...I've been here five years and it's still a maze.

Then in the tub with JOHN MAYALL and JOHN MAYER TRIO and more GOING WILD.

Becky, from the book club, sent an email saying that March's meeting is cancelled, and I sent a reply saying that I think April is also off. I told her I would email her before the April meeting to find out what is going on.

Watched the last half of 'GIRL ON THE TRAIN' (Kanopy). Seemed a bit pretentious, but not a bad femme fatale. Then the last episode of 'BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND DINNER' (Netflix)- Kate McKinnon and the chef visit Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Then a couple of episodes of , 'THE CHEF SHOW' (Netflix). Breakfast tacos and preparing brisket. And then an Austin 'Pot Luck' for chefs. Some elegant S'mores.
