Th 3/26/2020-Bike Trail To Woodside Rd-10

Th 3/26/2020

UP 715am: Cloudy with a chance of rain this afternoon with temps to 60.

Watched, 'LOW LOW' (Hoopla). Four 'at risk' girls from a poor section of contemporary Los Angeles on their last day of high school deal with sex, booze, drugs, and looming responsibilities. Not a bad low budget Independent, but no new ground broken.

Then, 'OPERATION ENDGAME' (Hoopla). The Alpha and The Omega, two top-secret government agencies, fight it out in an underground bunker as the Bush administration ends and Obama's begins. Ridiculous! The big question is how did they get all of this incredible acting talent to be a part of this travesty?- with Ellen Barkin, Zach Galifianakis, Bob Odenkirk, Ving Rhames, and Jeffrey Tambor.

***Buddy licked the nearly empty container of cottage cheese completely clean and a half hour be threw up everything he'd eaten all day. No more experiments with new and different foods!

I watched a thirty minute YouTube video about a film called, 'THERE ARE NO DINOSAURS IN HEAVEN'. It was a discussion about Creationists vs. Evolutionists in the public schools by the film's director.
I wrote the following comment on YouTube:
"Fair and Balanced' is a founding principle over at Fox News. For example, if ten thousand scientists believe in global warming, you find one scientist who does not and you give him equal time and attention and call it 'Fair and Balanced'. And even before Fox News, the tobacco industry employed the same gambit. Creationists are using the same tactic today."

230pm: Filled the bike tires with air and headed off to Chatham via the bike trail.

Up Westview and over to Parkview and south on the same route to Planet Fitness, only I took the bike trail to Woodside Rd.

***I had the phone and listened to music part of the way back. Started with an album by PETER GREEN. Not a goddamn bit of guitar on it, just orchestral meanderings. Who the fuck would listen to an Eric Clapton album if it was all trombone solos and no guitar? Then, PETER MURPHY, and that was very unsatisfying. Finally, THE PIXIES....Only passable. The good news is that the phone picks up the signal just great, but attention must be paid to the selection of tunes. Back the same way, and just over a TWO HOUR RIDE.

Home to read more of 'SAINTS OF THE SHADOW BIBLE' and listened to PINK FLOYD and PORTISHEAD. Then in the tub for more JOHN REBUS and POST MALONE, THE PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and some SPOOKY TOOTH.

Watched, 'BILL CUNNINGHAM NEW YORK' (Kanopy). A profile of the famous New York Times Fashion Photographer. At 80 years old he lives in an apartment at Carnegie Hall and bicycles all over Manhattan for his job which is to document the streets of NYC.  A kind of sadness over the whole film because he comes across as so lonely, like he's hiding some terrible secret. His childhood must have been a mess. Devout Catholic?

Then the penultimate, 'NARCOS- MEXICO' (Netflix). It's been so long since I have watched this that I had somewhat lost the thread. It seems like months ago that I was going to Planet Fitness and watching videos on the phone... Michael Pena gets tortured and a section from CHARLOTTE'S WEB is read.

And, another, 'UGLY DELICIOUS' (Netflix). David Chang and friends tour Barbeque around the world.
"Some Chinese believe that Dragon is the best meat, but Dragons don't exist. #2 is Donkey meat, and #3 is all the rest". However, David Chang would not even try it. He said it was 'Armageddon Food' and you would only think about eating it if all other sources of food were absolutely gone.
