Mo 4/13/2020- Jamie Hospitalized-28
Mo 4/13/2020
Up 710am: Very windy, cloudy (bright and sunny later) with temps to low 40's.
Watched, 'BLACK HAWK DOWN' (Hoopla). Simple premise- insert a team, capture the target, and leave the area, but 'The Fog Of War' lays waste to the most meticulous of plans. What sets this war movie apart is that it is so unbelievably convincing; with Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, Tom Sizemore, Sam Shepard, Danny Hoch (TRAINSPOTTING), and Jeremy Piven (ENTOURAGE).
11am: Bright, blustery, and cold, but decided to take the gas can down to the station at Chatham and Monroe for a fillup.
1105-1140 am: Got the gas and walked back.
Wrote 'The Wrap' and sent it off.
Watched, 'STEPHEN KING'S A GOOD MARRIAGE' (Amazon Prime). Stephen King wrote the screenplay from one of his short stories, yet it's a surprisingly bland thriller about a wife who finds out that her husband is an active serial killer; with Joan Allen and Anthony LaPaglia.
***My new Mp3 player arrived in the mail!
315pm: Reading and listening to 'Pink Moon'- NICK DRAKE on the living room Altech and on the second walk of the day by 510pm.
Up Westview and a right on Kenyon and over to Interlaken. Then south across Old Jacks and over via Oakmont to Old Jacks. Headed east to Chatham and north to Fairway to Interlaken and back down Westview to 940. ABOUT AN HOUR AND TEN MINUTES.
In the tub with more GEORGE V. WIGGINS and listened to SUPERTRAMP- 'Crime Of The Century' and JONI MITCHELL- 'Blue'.
***Got a reply from Janny and I learned that Jamie is in the St. John's Hospital Covid-19 section! He has blood clots in his lungs and behind his knee (?) and he's been tested for the virus but the results are not in. Absolutely shocking news!
Watched 'LA ORIGINALS' (Netflix). A documentary about Los Angeles Chicano culture. A tattoo artist named 'Mister Cartoon' and his pal, a photographer named Estevan Oriol create an international scene based on their experience of the streets. An exceptional doc!
***A text from Janny saying that Jamie tested 'NO' for the Covid-19 virus and they were trying to have him moved off the isolation section of St. John's Hospital.
Then the first episode of, 'BREWS BROTHERS' (Netflix). Two brothers that don't get along are partners in a beer brewing enterprise. Not funny, gags seem forced. Maybe the last time for this one.
Another, 'SCHITT'S CREEK' (IMDB-TV)
