Mo 4/27/2020: Mowed Lawn/ Edibles-42
Mo 4/27/2020
Up 7am: Mostly sunny with temps to upper 60's.
I gave the the downstairs 'wetlands' another twenty minute session with the shop vacuum. I think that the water has stopped seeping through the walls and now it's just a question of drying the carpet. The 'outdoor/ indoor' carpeting was such a great idea and I remembered thinking that a plush deep carpet might have been the way to go. That would have been a major mistake.
Watched, 'SERGIO' (Netflix). A kind of biopic of senior UN Brazilian ambassador, Sergio De Mello and his work as a humanitarian mediator for the United Nations, yet the film evolves into a very well done love story between him and Carolina Larriera. His death in Baghdad in 2003 ended negotiations in Iraq and marked the beginning of years of strife and civil war that continues to this day; with Wagner Moura and Ana de Armas.
Then watched, 'REMEMBER THE DAZE' (Amazon Prime). A teen film that celebrates the drug drenched and alcohol soaked parties following the last day of high school, 1999. A bit what you would expect, yet do not confuse with the vastly superior, 'DAZED AND CONFUSED' by Richard Linklater; a host of 'teen stars' with Brie Larson. Filmed near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina.
110 pm: Hopefully I can start the lawn mower and then hit the lawn. Looks like raking will be required.
340 pm: I started the walk. Down Westview and on the golf path to Lawrence heading east. Started hitting the side streets south to Wash. PK. South side of the panhandle then straight south to Laurel via Park? Laurel to Chatham heading north to Parkview and up and down to 940. TWO HOURS; Mp3- SLOBBERBONE - 'Barrel Chested'/ STONES - ' Black and Blue'/ TOM VERLAINE- 'Cover'.
***Around 530 pm I took 'Three Gummies and One Triangle= 40 mg. Read on the couch to the music of TOY CALDWELL and THE FEELIES. Feeling very enhanced in forty-five minutes...Shivering, but maybe it really was cold? In the tub for ALL MILES DAVIS- hadn't heard 'TUTU' in ages.
***Action at Boozer's old house...White large pickup and several other vehicles. And the 'For Sale' sign is gone!
830 pm: Watching 'RAMPARTS' (Amazon Prime) in the living room. From 'IndieWire' at IMDB 'Metascore':
".....Rampart is co-written by crime writer James Ellroy as a messy, disorienting noir, and shot by cinematographer Bobby Bukowski with an unsettling degree of realism"......with Woody Harrelson, Cynthia Nixon, Anne Heche, Robin Wright, Ned Beatty, Steve Buscemi, and Brie Larson. A dirty profile of a hard-headed, stuck in the past LA cop at the end of the 20th century. He's portrayed without any redeeming qualities, but you see him as he sees himself- a self-styled social and political genius. Not a bad film, but not great.
Then, 'AUTOPSY- THE LAST HOURS OF ELVIS PRESLEY' (Amazon Prime). He had a tremendously enlarged liver and heart, yet they made it sound as if his drug use was not out of hand. He was not a malfunctioning addict, but functioning addict. He was following 'doctor's orders' for each drug independently, but was ignorant of the adverse reactions when they are taken together.
Then the next episode of, '#blackAF' (Netflix). Mom is is a writer and a lawyer, but is she still a mom if she hires a team to handle 'the mothering'?
