Up 7am: Mostly cloudy, breezy to upper 60's.
Wrote up VIVA LA MADNESS for the blog.
Watched, 'MELROSE' (Hoopla). A low budget Independent about two young people who try to work in Los Angeles without destroying their dreams of making it in the movie business. She has a job selling to businesses along Melrose Ave. and shows him the ropes. They fall in love, she leaves him, and he starts anew. Not bad.
Then watched, 'SAND CASTLE' (Netflix). At the beginning of the Iraq invasion in 2003 a young man breaks his had to get out of the war, but he's put back in the fray and his unit is assigned to repair a pump station at an Iraqi village. They take heavy casualties trying to repair the pump, but no one wants them there. Not a bad film about the futility of war; with Nicholas Hoult, and Logan Marshall-Green (this guy looks just like Tom Hardy).
Wrote the 'Wrap' and sent it off.
330pm: On the bike....I had planned to take the bike trail into Chatham, but the plan changed. I just took a 'Look-See Through The Western Suburbs'. Up Westview to Kenyon and around to Interlaken/ Lynnhaven. South to Pebble Beach, Bellerive, and to Greenbriar and took a tour of all of the streets in that area. Then south almost all the way to Wabash. Looped around...Visited VACHEL LINDSAY ELEMENTARY...Looped through those housing developments, then east on Iles and the regular way back home from the 'Y'...An Hour And Forty-Five Minutes.
Read more of 'HELL'S CORNER' and listened to AIR- 'Talkie Walkie' and AFGHAN WHIGS-'Do The Beast'. Then in the tub with more Baldacci and more of the same, only different albums. 'Moon Safari'- AIR, 'Gentlemen At 21'- AFGHAN WHIGS.
Watched, 'FAMILY BAND: THE COWSILLS STORY' (Amazon Prime). The father, Bud Cowsill, sounds every bit as abusive as Brian Wilson's dad. The Cowsills were the band that The Partridge Family is modeled after.
Watched the first episode of, 'ZEROZEROZERO' (Amazon Prime). A complex tale involving several story arcs about the details of a massive cocaine shipment from Mexico to Italy; with Gabriel Byrne.
Then the first episode of , 'HELL'S KITCHEN' (Amazon Prime). Blue Team and Red Team must compete to be the best 'chef team' in Gordon Ramsey's restaurant, Hell's Kitchen. Each team gets to serve and cook for half of the restaurant and Ramsey is as insulting and demeaning as possible- event to the guests!
