Su 4/12/2020: EASTER- 27
Su 4/12/2020- EASTER
Up 630am: Cloudy and rain predicted for most of the day- to 60. The rain pretty much missed, but still a chance overnight.
Watched, 'LES MISERABLES' (Amazon Prime). A rookie's first day on the job in a Parisian 'police/neighborhood enforcement' squad. The title refers to Victor Hugo's novel that was set in the same area where the movie takes place. Stolen lion cub...kid shot in the face with a 'compression flare'?...Best part of the film is when the unit is trapped in a high rise with gangs of teens trying to inflict grievous bodily harm. The film is like a French 'TRAINING DAY'. Not bad at all.
Watched the next episode of, 'KILLER RATINGS' (Netflix). Representative Wallace Souza is impeached and now, as a private citizen, he can be prosecuted.
It's suppose to rain all day, but it looks like a break from the storms between 11am and 2pm. Will walk early today.
1215pm: Up Westview and over to Parkview to the park. Up southside of park to Higgins south to Laurel. Then east to College and on South Grand went west to Walnut to the north side of the panhandle. Through the park northside and cut through the path on the golf course to Fairway and up Westview: 2 HRS.
3pm: Watched, 'PAPER MAN' (Amazon Prime). Top tier acting talent in one of the most ridiculous storylines I've ever encountered. A failed author with writer's block retreats to a cabin in Montauk NY. He leaves his unfeeling, yet confident 'doctor-wife' and falls 'in friendship' with a young high school girl. He tells her he needs a babysitter and she immediately agrees, but there is no baby. Some of the scenes were affecting, but the overall effect was simply unbelievable- especially the author's 'superhero imaginary friend'; with Lisa Kudrow, Jeff Daniels, Ryan Reynolds, and Emma Stone.
5pm: Reading George V. Higgins and listening to the living room Altech- THE GORILLAZ.
6pm: Did the Weekly Cleaning and then in the tub with more, 'COGAN'S TRADE' and STEVE MILLER BAND-'Fly Like An Eagle' and THE STROKES- 'Is this It'.
Watched, 'RAMBO LAST BLOOD' (Amazon Prime). Sylvester Stallone in a Kidnap/ Revenge Epic. Lurid to the point of silliness.
Then an episode of, 'THE FIRST 48 PRESENTS: HOMICIDE SQUAD ATLANTA' (Amazon Prime).
Another episode of, 'SCHITT'S CREEK' (IMDB-TV). The town sign shows a man and woman doing it doggie style. "It's doesn't matter because she's his sister".
