Th 4/2/2020- Cabbages From The Brandenburgs
Up 645am: Partly cloudy, breezy to low 60's.
***At 5am I awoke to a strange beeping. I thought that sometime during the night the power had gone off and the sump pump was alerting. Then I realized that it was the Baby Boomer speaker in the bathroom. I had forgotten to turn it off last night and it was signaling that the power was low. I plugged it in to charge and it went to 'blue' around 9am, so it takes about four hours to charge.
****8am Joe and Janny dropped by with a couple of cabbages and some books. I asked them to pick up when they visited Sam's. She said that there was an incredible line at Sam's, so they went to Walmart. They were at the store very early!
Watched, 'DONNIE DARKO' (Kanopy); with Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal, Patrick Swayze, Jena Malone, Drew Barrymore, and even Seth Rogen. A film classic from 2001. I posted the following on Kanopy:
"After watching the film I had plenty of questions. Luckily there are numerous websites (especially YouTube) that help to explain what happened....Primary Universe, Tangent Universe, Insurance Trap, Time Artifacts. Although at its' core, the film is simply a love story. Donnie realizes that he must sacrifice himself to save the girl that he loves, Gretchen."
Tried to watch, 'SUBMARINE' on Hoopla, but the library had reached the limit for today. I got it on Amazon Prime. I'm interested in the music that Alex Turner (Frontman of ARCTIC MONKEYS) did for the film. I've got some of his stuff on Amazon Prime Music.
This is a 'coming of age' film where the young people are presented in a positive light and the adults seem to be damaged and desperate; with Noah Taylor, Paddy Considine, Yasmin Paige, and Sally Hawkins.
215pm: Will read, 'VIVA LA MADNESS' and listen to the Baby Boomer in the living room-Laurie Anderson- LANDFALL and QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE.
At 5pm I left on the walk. Down Westview and north on Chatham to Washington. West to Durkin then south across Old Jacks, around the church, and south on Golf. Pebble Beach and around to Oakmont. Back to Interlacken and down Westview. Just over AN HOUR AND A HALF.
In the tub with more English Villany and QUEEN- 'A DAY AT THE RACES' and A.R.E. WEAPONS- MODERN MAYHEM.
Watched the next episode of, 'HOW TO FIX A DRUG SCANDAL' (Netflix). And then the last episode, Season 4 of, 'BETTER CALL SAUL' (Netflix).
Then the last half of the last episode of , 'DIRTY MONEY'. The Formosa Chemical plants v. EPA.
Then watched the penultimate episode of, 'FLEABAG' (Amazon Prime), Season 1,Episode 5. The sisters visit their old house and meet with dad and his new wife ...Emotions Roil...
