Up 615 am: Muggy with a chance of rain this afternoon with temps to mid 80's.

Added LIVE DELANEY & BONNIE and ON THE CORNER to the mp3 player.

***Ran the F-SECURE ONLINE SCANNER. It works flawlessly and I hope it is effective if and when I really need it.

Watched, 'NOISE' (Kanopy). Set in suburban Melbourne, Australia a young woman boards a rapid transit train and realizes that she's the only woman alive on the car. And, a young policeman is demoted to manning a police sub-station trailer because of his tinnitus condition. Who did it and why is unclear, yet the film does have a queasy and off-kilter vibe.

My post at Kanopy:

"The premise of the story-line was engrossing, yet the execution was lacking.  The opening scenes as the woman on the train becomes aware of the carnage surrounding her was unforgettable, however everything that follows does not measure up. Also, unless you are familiar with Australian accents, I would recommend that you watch with 'closed caption' on."

***I learned that in Afrikaner (A version of Dutch spoken in South Africa) 'Worden' means 'Become', and Kenneth means 'Handsome'.

Then watched, 'SOUTHBOUND' (Amazon Prime). A few tales of suffering and horror headed 'southbound' on a desolate highway. Truly a cut above.

1230 pm: PC is 'Off' and want to hit the sidewalks early to avoid the afternoon deluge.

115 pm: On The Streets. Up Westview, Oakmont, Country Club, Laurel, 'asphalt' Outer Park to Wiggins. Straight north to Leland....CAUGHT IN A HUGE DOWNPOUR FROM 220-230 pm. I hunkered down under some trees while a woman successfully mowed the last few strips of her yard. Clearing to sprinkles and very humid for the rest of the walk. Listened to 'ON THE CORNER'- Miles and 'DELANEY AND BONNIE'.

Home to read on the chair in the living room. Finished 'THE POET' and listened to AL KOOPER and THE PAUL BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND.

Then in the tub to begin another Elizabeth Berg novel. I wanted to borrow 'CUTTER'S WAY' (Cutter And Bone) from Hoopla, but they had reached the daily quota. Listened to NICK GRAVENITES and THE YARDBIRDS- 'Blue Eyed Blues'.

Watched 'MYSTIFY: MICHAEL HUTCHENCE' (Amazon Prime). Auto-Eroticism was not mentioned, and his suicide is blamed on brain damage he received from a fight with a cab driver five years prior. I'm not really a fan of his music (and this bio certainly didn't change my mind) and he comes across as pretentious and ostentatious as a 'cut-rate-Jim Morrison-wanna-be'...
