Up 640 am: Partly sunny with a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon- mid 80's.

Watched Netflix disc, 'PAPA: HEMINGWAY IN CUBA'. Not a very well done biopic about the late great Ernest Hemingway. Although the actor that played Hemingway, Adrian Sparks, looks very much like the celebrated author and anything Giovanni Ribisi is in I will give it a shot. I could have seen this one on IMDB-TV.

1015 am: Hitting the streets early because showers and storms are moving in later. Will drop the disc at the Wabash PO. 

1040 am: On The Street. Up Parkview, Oakmont, Golf, across Greenbriar to Iles. East on Iles to Chatham the Wabash PO. Back the same way, more or less. ALMOST TWO AND A HALF HOURS; Mp3- John Zorn- 'NAKED CITY', KING CRIMSON, AND Lou Reed- 'NEW SENSATION'. 


115pm: Watched, 'ZEROVILLE' (Kanopy) in the living room. James Falco's take on Hollywood, 1969. My post at Kanopy:
"Many times during the film I didn't know whether to try and take it seriously or to laugh out loud. The entire project seems a little pretentious so maybe you have to be a genius to know the difference." 

Rain started about 4pm. Temps dropped ten degrees. Read a Theodore Sturgeon short story about 'losing telepathy' as if the narrator was mentally challenged. 
***Listened to the tape deck, living room. ZOOROPA, LIVE HUSKER DU.

In the tub with SARAH WINMAN and listened to THE BAND, BAREFOOT JERRY, BEATLES,  'Let It Be'. 

Watched, 'FREEWAY' (Amazon Prime). Over-the-top weirdness and way more than I was expecting. A transgressive roller coaster with hookers, drugs, gun violence, rape, and the inability to read, "Cats drink milk". I loved it!  ; with Kiefer Sutherland, Reese Witherspoon, Bokeem Woodbine, Brooke Shields, and Brittany Murphy.

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
