Mo 7/13/20- Eye Doctor Appointment
Mo 7/13/20
***Janny said that she and Joe would be able to take me to the appointment on August 19th at 2pm at the Springfield Clinic.
Up 645am: Sunny and hot with high humidity and temps in the upper 80's. Temps edging to the upper 90's by this weekend. It was almost 120 degrees in Phoenix over the weekend.
Watched 'BEFORE AND AFTER' (Hoopla). "Your whole life can change in a second, and you never even know when it's coming"...
A steamy melodrama about a family's moral dilemma when their son is charged with involuntary manslaughter; with Meryl Streep, Liam Neeson, Edward Furlong, and Alfred Molina.
Then watched '13Th' (Netflix). I recently watched 'SLAVERY BY ANY OTHER NAME' and '13Th' just underscored the big points of that film. The Prison Industrial Complex is just an extension of Reconstruction policies that failed during the late 19th century. Slavery in the US is not allowed UNLESS it is used as punishment for criminal offenses. America, The Land of The Free has more prison inmates than any other country on Earth.
On the phone trying to get an ophthalmologist so that I can set up Dr. Kwedar to do the cataract surgery on my right eye. They will call me back and will write the Chat Wrap while I'm waiting.
245pm: PC is 'Off' (debating whether to start the transfer from Google Play to YouTube Music) and will nap/read more 'GARP' and then do the walk later.
450pm. Up to Kenyon and across Monroe. Under LRS and north and east. Washington east to Lincoln south. Wash. Pk. to panhandle at MacA, south edge of park. Up pavement, Parkview, down to 940. 2 HOURS EVEN. Mp3. BYRDS, X, ARCTIC MONKEYS.
In the tub with GARP and ARCTIC MONKEYS- 'Favorite Nightmare', 'Humbug'. Listened to Natasha Leggero, Joe Rogan Experience.
Watched some of David Cay Johnston's YouTube talk on his book about Donald Trump, 'THE SECRET HISTORY OF DONALD TRUMP'.
Then, the last episode of the latest season of 'BOSCH'. Gonna miss that show!
Then an episode of 'STRUGGLE FOR JUSTICE'- The Rejean Hinse Story' (Amazon Prime). A man from Quebec, Canada does eight years for a crime that he did not do. He tries to get the government to admit their mistake, and although the crime occurred in 1961, he's been fighting the authorities to acknowledge his innocence for a half century.
