Up 720am: Rain all day with temps to the upper 70's.

Watched 'EX MACHINA' (Kanopy).   My post at Kanopy:
"Deliberately paced SciFi drama in which a young man is enlisted to determine if an artificially enhanced robot can actually 'think' or does she only mimic 'thinking'. It left me feeling that maybe 'a facsimile of thinking' is good enough."; with Domhnall Gleeson and Alicia Vikander

One more pick for this month at Kanopy, so I chose- 'HOW TO TALK TO GIRLS AT PARTIES' (Kanopy).  "I had a planned adolescence under duress". "Dyslexic Cnuts". Aliens visit Punk Rock Croydon in 1977, but the locals think they're Americans.

 My post at Kanopy: " If you're a fan of the first wave of British Punk Music this offers a kind of 'rosy' snapshot of the era. Nimble dialog, clever sets and costumes, but not even close to the truth, but an enjoyable experience nonetheless. The soundtrack is authentic, and even the 'fake' bands, 'The Dyschords' and 'The Dyslexic Cnuts' were spot-on... "I Had A Planned Adolescence Under Duress"." with Elle Fanning and Nicole Kidman. 

230pm: Reading the treadmill manual and preparing for my first jog/walk. 

***FIRST TIME ON TREADMILL. 3-445PM. JUST OVER 6 MILES. 
Can't connect Bluetooth because I don't have the pin number. Left a question at Amazon and Horizon. I called but closed at 5pm. Watched POST MALONE on The Joe Rogan Experience and listened to LIVE STEVE MARRIOTT. 

READ 40 mins. in the living room and listened to JEHOVAH OVERKILL - Julian Cope. 

In the tub with RUSSO and listening to THEM {without VAN}, THE MARCUS KING BAND,  TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND. 

Watched  'TREAD' (Netflix). In June of 2005 a disgruntled man has a beef with the town big-shots of Granby,  CO so he secretly builds a tank and then bulldozes the town. Weird, but true. 

Watched another episode of 'DR.G- MEDICAL EXAMINER' (Amazon Prime). Female teenager's skeleton is found by the tracks- her mother did it with a hammer blow to the gut. DNA analysis mis-identified the bones as that of a young male.  An over-weight black man dies after climbing the stairs to his apartment with groceries. High blood pressure was the root of his problem.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy

We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}. Pk northside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 35 MINUTES; ORNETTE COLEMAN Playlist; began a J.R.E. with an English podcaster. 9am: Janny called and they will be here after their appointment with Dax at 10am.   Watched more of 'HIGH TIDES' (Netflix)- The Belgian soap opera of 'all the beautiful people'. 1045am- 1235pm: She met one of her students who was a girl who is now a man. We exchanged books & Joe recommended an 'oiler' that fits under the belt of a treadmill. Melissa is now '2nd in command' at the Illinois Parole Board...
