We 7/15/20- Google Play to YouTube Music

We 7/15/20

Up 7am: Overcast, humid and heavy rains moving in- low 80's. Temps to the mid 90's on the weekend.

Added 'BIRDS OF FIRE'- The Mahavishnu Orchestra to the Mp3.

Watched '7500' (Amazon Prime). On a flight from Berlin, Muslim terrorists enter the cabin and try to take control of the plane. Not a bad thriller, but the plot seemed to unfold in a deliberate manner without surprise; with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

***1010am. Patch Tuesday and I have to restart the computer.  It went without a hitch, only took a few minutes, but I hate this! And I'll have to deal with the downstairs PC later this evening.

Watched 'O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?' (IMDB-TV).  Three convicts escape from a Mississippi chain gang and take to the road during the Great Depression. Although beautifully shot, the script seems to embrace nearly every cliche about life in the American South during the 1930's- nefarious bible salesmen, contemptuous sales clerks, wicked Klansmen, and the general low IQ's of the locals. A Coen Brothers Production with George Clooney, John Turturro, Tim Blake Nelson, John Goodman, Holly Hunter, Charles Durning, and music by T Bone Burnett.

***I spent some time trying to find my Google Play library in YouTube Music. Here's how it's done;

  2:35 PM We 7/15/2020

Locate Google Play music at YouTube Music

1. Open YouTube
2. In the '9 squares of 9' select YouTube Music
3. Scroll down to 'From your Google Play Music library'
4. Click 'YouTube Music' and click on 'uploads'
5. They're all there!

3pm: PC is 'Off' and maybe I'll take the car for beer and soda later, but I want to be here when the fierce storms hit early this evening.
330pm. To Wash. Pk. and back. Out Fairway to Chatham and Williams Blvd. Frontage Rd. At McA sky threatening, thru middle of the park, up hill and north on the golf course path, Fairway and up to 940. JUST OVER AN HOUR. I had the umbrella and it really stormed within 5 minutes. Lucky! A LITTLE OVER AN HOUR.

READ GARP downstairs and listened to LIVE DEAD TAPE.

***Lightening struck about 625pm. Power off for a few seconds and I hope that the WiFi apparatus rebooted.

In the tub with GARP and listening to NATHANIEL RATELIFF, MARVIN GAYE- 'What's Going On?', more of the Joe Rogan Experience with Ted Nugent.

Watched another episode of 'THE INNOCENCE FILES- The Witness: The Trials of Franky Carrillo' (Netflix). Parts of this episode seemed familiar, and others not so much. Eye witness testimony is the only evidence that convicts a man of a drive-by shooting. He does a couple of decades in prison, is exonerated, and receives just over ten million in damages from the city of Los Angeles. It shows just how false eye witness testimony can be.

Then some more episodes of  'THE PATRIOT ACT' (Netflix). Is college still worth the price? Colleges are no longer designed to educate students , but to earn profits for the shareholders. Then, "What's happening with the loss of local newspapers"? Once again...No longer designed to educate 'the public', but to earn profits for the shareholders. And, one hedge fund investor seems to be trying to buy all of them, and then shutting them down. Local news is possibly the strongest safe guard against corruption because the most egregious examples of illegality always go national in the end so powerful people would like to shut this down.
