Up 715am: Partly cloudy and cooler- to low 80's.

I wrote up 'A FAINT COLD FEAR'- Robert Daley for the blog.

Watched Netflix disc 'QUEEN & SLIM'. A black couple is detained during a traffic stop on their first date. A commotion ensues and the man kills the cop in a reasonable case of self defense and then the film becomes a romantic road picture where they elude the cops from Cleveland, Ohio to rural Louisiana with romantic flair. The film strains a bit to create a couple of 'heroes' (maybe like a black Bonnie and Clyde) and I thought that it shouldn't have ended in a 'suicide by cop' for the pair, but that they should have been murdered by white yokels wearing MAGA hats; with Daniel Kaluuya, Jodie Turner-Smith, Bokeem Woodbine, Choe Sevigny, Sturgill Simpson, and Flea. The idea for the story was by James Frey, author of 'A MILLION LITTLE PIECES'...Little Freddie King is a blues artist featured in the film. His mother spelled his name 'Fread'.

Then watched 'THUNDER ALLEY' (Amazon Prime). A mildly entertaining film from 1985 about a fledgling rock band just starting on the club scene. The music was light, superficial (think Rick Springfield, Loverboy, or maybe Eddie Money) and teeming with the standard rock movie cliches; with Roger Wilson, Jill Schoelen, Clancy Brown, and Leif Garrett.

I got caught up watching Facebook videos and I left this post on a video where famous blacks claimed that there was no such thing as systemic racism:

"Name one metropolitan American city where the majority of blacks live in the wealthiest areas and the majority of whites live in the poorest sections of town, or one large American city where blacks have higher levels of education and earn significantly more than whites over all. If you can't, maybe there's something wrong with a system that produces such results so consistently."

And I posted this on a video where a woman was confronted at a McDonald's for panhandling yet she had parked her expensive SUV in their parking lot.

"And this proves that poor people have plenty of money and they just beg because it's easier than working. If you can't repeat this without laughing, you're probably a conservative libertarian."

415pm: Running late and those videos are so hypnotizing. preparing for a walk to the Monroe PO to mail the disc.

550pm...Edwards to Monroe PO box and back the same way. Mp3... GRATEFUL DEAD, HUSKER DU~ 'Supernova', 'Zen Arcade'. ONE HOUR 45 MINS.

I rehung the dryer hose. This should work ~ string and duct tape, it can't miss.

In the tub with E. BERG and listening to 'Legalize It' ~ PETER TOSH, THE POLICE ~ 'Reggatta De Blanc'.

Watched 'DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE' (Amazon Prime).  A teen aged boy's new step-father is a psychotic criminal, but he acts the 'kind and considerate man' and because he's also rich, the whole town is taken in. Kinda corny; with John Travolta, Vince Vaughn, and Steve Buscemi.

Then the first episode of 'THE FBI FILES- Polly Klass: Kidnapped' (Amazon Prime). 1993 -  Petaluma, CA. Three twelve year old girls are having a slumber party and a stranger with a long criminal history of violence and assault breaks into their house and takes Polly Klass. Two months later her body is found and forensic evidence was able to convict her killer. In his confession he admitted to drinking and smoking weed on the night of the kidnapping and he was in the neighborhood strictly by chance. It is very rare for people with criminal intent to kidnap random strangers.
