Up 650am: Sunny with temps to low 70's.
Spent far too much time on Reddit Videos.
Then I watched 'THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME' (Netflix). A 'Hillbilly Gothic' film based on a novel by Donald Ray Pollock. The author did the narration for parts of his novel that were used in the film. Staunch Fundamentalist's Christians, serial killers, maniacs, murderers, and very violent individuals co-exist in the rustic small towns of early 60's southern Ohio and West Virginia. Evangelical religion is central to their lives, yet it seems that if God loves these sad people, he's the only one; with Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgard, and Riley Keough. A pleasant surprise!
And then I watched 'HERE ALONE' (Kanopy). A 'Thinking Man's Zombie Post-Apocalyptic' film. After the zombie virus has taken her husband and baby daughter, a woman camps at a secluded lake and hopes to ride it out until a man and his step-daughter arrive. A very odd ending, but fitting for the tone of the film which is 'tres dark'; with Lucy Walters, Gina Piersanti, and Adam David Thompson.
215pm: Read for a while and then hit the trails. I did the Weekly Cleaning' first.
350pm...Parkview, north side of park, south on Walnut and Holmes to Outer Park, north on Noble / Wiggins, up the hill, Parkview and down to 940. 2 HOURS... Mp3... 'X' ~ Wild Gift, STEVE Earl, THE BLACK KEYS.
In the tub with A WOMAN AT WAR and listening to ALABAMA THUNDER PUSSY, ALBERT AYLER.
Watched ' THE HILLS HAVE EYES ' (Kanopy). On the way to California a family camping across America breaks down in a desert area inhabited by homicidal maniacs. A Wes Craven Masterpiece!
Then I watched the next episode of 'WRONG MAN' (Amazon Prime). The Mississippi supreme court overturned the conviction of the black man who was accused of killing four people in a furniture store holdup in Winona, Mississippi. The man had been given six trials and they were going to try him for a seventh time. A new case is next.
