Up 810am: Overcast and much cooler- temps only to upper 50's and breezy.
***I had left the computer on 'Sleep' yesterday, and today it requested a 'Restart' to install Updates. And there is a problem... "(0x80070002)" whatever this is. I hate Windows!
Watched Netflix disc 'BONNEVILLE'. Three middle-aged women travel from Idaho to California in a vintage Pontiac to bury the ashes of one of their husbands. They're all Mormon and I wonder if this was a Latter Day Saints production; with Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Joan Allen, and Tom Skerrit...Warm and fuzzy, signifying nothing.
I am going to do a 'Restart' and then hit the grocery store at Fairhills. I left for the store about 1215pm and was back home in an hour- only spent $67.
***The PC wants to download the entire 'Windows 2004 Update' again! I am sick of Windows Updates!
Watched 'COLD HARBOUR' (Netflix). Set in Cape Town, South Africa the film concerns a cop who realizes that corruption is rampant in the department. Initially the illegal activity does not involve drugs, prostitution, or guns, but fish...Abalone. Apparently the Chinese believe that it is an aphrodisiac and there is a very lucrative market for this fish. Clocking in at less than eighty minutes the film lacks power as a noirish cop morality drama...'SERPICO' it ain't.
330pm: PC is 'Off' and I'll read for a while and then do 5 miles on the treadmill. I watched the last ten minutes of the Ben Shapiro interview and will begin Rogan's chat with Whitney Cummings.
440~620pm...FIVE MILES at 3.1 pace... 'FBI FILES (Amazon Prime)... Vincent Giganti became head of the 5 Crime Families of The Mafia and faked mental illness for 30 years. Then Rogan, Whitney, and another female comic.
In the tub with' HUMANS' and listening to WIRE~ 'Pink Flag', THE STOOGES ~ 'Funhouse', HUSKER DU~'New Day Rising'.
***Spent an inordinate amount of time trying to do something about the recent surge of ads on Allmusic.com. No luck.
Watched episode I of 'THE LOUDEST VOICE' (Amazon Prime). Russell Crowe plays Roger Ailes and documents the rise of Fox News. A great series and I'm glad I noticed it because it's leaving Amazon on Oct. 30th.
