Watched 'JULIA' (Kanopy). Tilda Swinton plays an unhinged alcoholic who becomes involved in one of the most off-the-wall ransom/extortion/ kidnapping plots ever conceived. Some of it is hilarious and I believe that many twisted capers are attempted by people just this willfully ignorant or deranged. I had seen this before, but well worth a second viewing; with Tilda Swinton, Saul Rubinek, and Kate del Castillo. Runtime: 144 min.

30pm: Parkview, Wash. Pk., northside Williams Blvd., Walnut, Leland, Wiggins, back to the park and up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 30 MINS...Mp3...JOHN MAYER TRIO, BLACKBERRY SMOKE (two records that I put on the player this morning). 

***Bob and Carol were working on the front lawn of the house next door. I told them $250 and I hope they only give me half of fifty.

I watched episode #6 of 'THE BRIDGE' (Hoopla).

On the Treadmill for TWO MILES. I watched the interview with TODD GLASS on THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE.   

READ 'THE BAD PLACE' on the couch, then in the tub with more KOONTZ and listening to THE CANNED HEAT ~ 'Straight Ahead', on to YouTube Music, GRATEFUL DEAD, SONNY ROLLINS.

Watched 'HELLAWARE' (Kanopy).  A hip Brooklyn photographer travels to rural Delaware to exploit a teenage 'Shock/Punk'  band with a song called 'Cut Your Dick Off'. He stages an art exhibit, the band destroys it, and the photographer makes his mark. Not a bad satire of the uppity NYC Art World, but doesn't take itself too seriously. 

Watched another episode of 'COLD CASE FILES- Baby For Sale/ The Barrel' (Netflix). A couple sells their baby, gets it back, and then kills it and burns the body in the Arizona desert. NEXT CASE: Nine years after moving into his house, a man finds a barrel in his crawl space. Inside was a woman's body. Cold Case detectives unravel the mystery and discover a man who had killed his pregnant girlfriend in 1969. Although he had retired and moved to Florida, he blew his brains out with a shotgun when confronted with the truth...30 years later.

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
